‘Are His Shoes On the Wrong Feet’: Donald Trump’s ‘Good Job’ Moment Sparks Laughter as People Zero In on His Shoes and Pam Bondi’s Outfit

Sun, 08/24/2025 - 17:57

Intense criticism comes with being a celebrity. President Donald Trump is no stranger to being the actual critic. He often chastises his opponents for their looks or their intelligence, and sometimes he gets a taste of his own medicine in return.

His allies are not exempt from that blowback.

United States Attorney General Pam Bondi became the butt of the joke with Trump on Thursday, Aug. 21. She accompanied Trump to speak with the National Guard forces in the U.S. Park Police facility in Washington, D.C. Bondi, as well as Interior Secretary Doug Burgum and U.S. Attorney for D.C. Jeanine Pirro, were there to support Trump as he addressed his federalizing police in the nation’s capital in what he’s calling a response to a crime emergency. Despite her being just a bystander, a zoomed-in shot of her that spread online led to social media users ridiculing her outfit.

Bondi wore a black outfit consisting of a blazer, a shirt and wide-legged pants. The pants stole the attention as viewers deemed them incompatible with the rest of the outfit because of their loose fit. The pants were so large that they touched the ground.

The Instagram account Mighty Dems shared the photo on its page, where they asked, “What is Pam Bondi wearing? Also Trump looks horrible,” in the caption. Many chimed in with their reactions to the image in the comments. “Do you see that? Looks like she’s wearing stilts.”

“Looks like they swapped pants,” said one, referring to the more fitted slacks that Trump was wearing.

Another person observing their looks said, “Her pants are too long, his too short.”

Someone else said, “Looks like Trump has his shoes on the wrong feet?

While another person asked “Are his shoes on the wrong feet?”

A fourth typed, “She got dressed in a hurry and accidentally put on Trump’s pants.”

She hasn’t been the only one on Trump’s team to be picked apart over their attire.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt had fans debating back in July whether her black and white mini dress was too short or inappropriate for work. Some said the 28-year-old’s outfit was one fit for an adolescent.

Though Bondi’s fashion choices were part of the focus for that event, reports said Trump handed out pizzas and hamburgers to the assembled National Guard, Park Police, and various other federal law enforcement agencies to thank them for a successful start to his intervention in the capital’s policing.

He said, “Well I just want to thank everybody very  much for being here. I wanted to do this. We’ve had some incredible results and results have come out and it’s like a different place. It’s like a different city, it’s the capital. It’s going to be the best in the world.”

Sharing more about his plans to give D.C. a makeover, he said, “We’re going to do what you’re doing with law enforcement, and very importantly, also we’re going to physically do it. We’re going back to Congress for some money and we’re going to redo a lot of the pavement, a lot of the medians.”

“The graffiti’s all coming off, real fast. It’s going to come down real fast.”

Two thousand National Guard troops have been deployed to the country’s capital so far alongside personnel from other federal law enforcement agencies. Trump is now threatening to send thousands of other National Guardsmen to other big cities run by Democratic mayors.

‘Does Anyone Else Think This Is Whack?’: White Man Loses It After Discovering What He Thinks Is a New Line of Greeting Cards Just For Black People

Sun, 08/24/2025 - 17:00

A white man lost it in a Walgreens after noticing the Mahogany line of greeting cards, calling the cards specifically designed for people of color “whack.” His brief rant launched a social media firestorm.

What’s probably the weirdest thing about his meltdown is that such cards have been around since before the 1980s, so his outrage is coming more than 40 years after the cards first showed up in retail outlets.

“Ya’ll I’m at Walgreens looking at freakin cards,” Drew Bishop370 originally posted on TikTok.

“Does anyone else think that this is whack? There’s a whole section of cards for Black people and it’s from, from Hallmark Mahogany. That’s f#cked up, isn’t it?”

Bishop thought Walgreens had just started selling the cards.

Hallmark said its Mahogany line of greeting cards “celebrates what is most beloved about Black culture through a timeless collection of authentic and artful greeting cards, gifts, movies, and media inspired with messages of faith, Black pride and love.”

“Hallmark Mahogany is a dedicated lifestyle brand committed to providing Black Women with innovative ways to honor African-American heritage and deepen the bonds of family, friendship and faith,” the brand said on its website.

I am anti BLM and DEI, but this doesn’t bother me. I think having the portion of our society being able to buy things that they identify with is fine.

It is just like buying makeup, we have all shades, everyone should be represented.

— ConfirmBias (@Fulcrumbs44) August 19, 2025

Bishop’s post picked up speed and was viewed hundreds of thousands of times across social media after a popular X post claimed Walgreens was facing backlash over the cards.

“BREAKING: Walgreens is under backlash after shoppers noticed that they have started selling cards exclusively for Black people,” Dom Lucre wrote in a post on X Tuesday, after reposting it from Wall Street Apes.

‘You Guys Suck!’: White Woman Shamelessly Launches Racist Rant In Grocery Store, Orders White Store Manager to Tell His Employees to Stop Acting Like ‘Brown People’

And an Instagram user continued the farce.

“Walgreens is getting unexpected backlash after some white shoppers complained about its Mahogany greeting card line by Hallmark. The collection, which has been around since the ’80s, is designed to celebrate Black culture, family, and traditions,” Baller Alert said in posting the video on Instagram.

As expected, social media erupted.

“So let me get this straight… If a store made a ‘whites only’ greeting card section, it would spark national outrage. But when it’s ‘blacks only,’ it’s called progress? Segregation with a smile and corporate branding. This isn’t unity. It’s modern-day apartheid wrapped in Hallmark packaging. How is this not racism?” Dr. Lucien Wolfe asked on X.

This X user countered with the obvious, “I don’t see anything wrong with it, for so many decades black people didn’t have anything to choose from except white people cards. I think race and culture are fine in non-governmental issues. It’s good to be proud of your race and culture whichever you are … And we should be proud as Americans that almost every race has contributed something magic to the mix.”

Even this anti-BLM and DEI user couldn’t find anything wrong with the Mahogany greeting cards.

“I think having the portion of our society being able to buy things that they identify with is fine. It is just like buying makeup, we have all shades, everyone should be represented.”

An Instagram user summed it up nicely: “Imagine being 40 years late…”

The fact-checking website Snopes looked into the social media frenzy, reaching out to Walgreens.

The retailer does sell the cards online and in stores. A spokesperson told Snopes this is not new and added that Walgreens believed it “would have had these cards in our stores since around the time Hallmark launched them, the late 80s.”

Hallmark first introduced Mahogany in a 16-card promotion in 1987 and continued it as a permanent brand in 1991.

Hallmark said its Mahogany brand was “the most extensive offering of cards available for African American consumers.”  And even though the cards were designed for Black consumers, Snopes reported it we found no evidence that the prevented other consumers from buying them.

Bishop later removed his post from TikTok.

‘She’s 85…’: Normani’s Grandma Wild Answer About Her Dream Man On ‘Family Feud’ Leaves Steve Harvey Stunned and Embarrasses Her Family

Sun, 08/24/2025 - 16:30

Steve Harvey has mastered the art of turning unexpected moments into television gold, and recent “Family Feud” episodes prove exactly why he remains one of daytime television’s most beloved hosts.

The seasoned entertainer often finds himself on the receiving end of some particularly memorable contestant moments, creating the kind of spontaneous comedy that has made his version of the long-running game show appointment viewing.

What began as routine survey questions transformed into yet another unforgettable exchange, highlighting King of Comedy’s wit and reactions, defining “Family Feud” entertainment.

‘Bring the Cougar Out’: Steve Harvey Blushes Over ‘Family Feud’ Contestant’s Flirty Answer About His Looks

The most recent buzz centers around Episode 7 of “Celebrity Family Feud” Season 11, which premiered on Aug. 21, featuring Fifth Harmony’s Normani and her family facing off against comedian Michelle Buteau’s team.

The episode began on a celebratory note. As Harvey greeted Normani’s family, he got to the matriarch Barbara Steward and said, “Happy birthday, grandma! Eighty-five and still fly. That’s what I’m talking about.”

The pivotal moment arrived when Harvey started the game and posed the survey question: “When you picture the man of your dreams, he’s holding what?”

Without hesitation, Barbara buzzed in first and delivered her answer with complete confidence: “His private.”

The response sent shock waves through the studio, with Harvey immediately breaking his professional composure and the entire building erupting in disbelief.

Normani’s reaction was perhaps the most telling, as she dramatically acted as if she might collapse to the ground, asking, “What she say?” in apparent disbelief at her grandmother’s bold response.

Harvey, still processing what he had heard, pointed directly at Normani’s mother and exclaimed, “That’s your mama,” before repeating Barbara’s answer for the stunned family: “She said ‘He’s grabbing his [bleep]!'”

When the show’s Instagram followers weighed in, cracking jokes at her hot-to-trot answer.

A post shared by Family Feud (@familyfeud)

“Grandma had some flashbacks,” one person wrote, while another cleverly referenced the classic Barbara Mason song “Woman to Woman,” remixing the opening lines as “Barbara… this is Shirley… what did you say on TV?”

Some celebrated Barbara’s boldness with comments like “If grandma wasn’t a freak in her days, they wouldn’t have even been born” and “She’s 85 not dead!!”

One particularly amused viewer simply stated, “Hahahaha i love ‘dirty’ grandmas.”

Despite Barbara’s memorable moment, her risqué answer unfortunately wasn’t among the six responses on the survey board.

Michelle’s team seized the opportunity, with various family members correctly guessing answers including “flowers,” “money,” “jewelry,” “my face,” and “food,” ultimately dominating the round with five correct responses. The missing survey answer that remained undisclosed turned out to be “puppy/animal,” but by then, Barbara’s response had already stolen the spotlight.

However, this wasn’t Harvey’s first encounter with unexpectedly flirtatious contestants.

An earlier episode from April 22 featured the Hill family tackling a seemingly straightforward survey question about commonalities between Harvey and Mr. Clean.

The board held six answers, and Harvey set it up with his signature flair: “Top six answers on the board, name something Steve Harvey and Mr. Clean have in common.”

Deborah Hill didn’t hesitate. She hit the buzzer with “shiny bald head”—the No. 1 answer. Jahman Hill added “you’re both famous” at number three, and Kim Hill kept it practical with “they both like stuff clean,” sliding into No. 6.

That’s when La Tasha Hill kicked it up a notch. With a smile, she delivered: “Good looks.” Harvey’s eyebrow shot up as she clapped along, insisting, “It’s up there.” She was right — it landed in the fourth spot. Harvey leaned in, playful but serious enough to keep the moment real: “Watch ya self, darling. I’m a full-blown situation.”

The family kept swinging, but when Monisha Hill guessed “they both smell good,” the buzzer shut her down. Strike one. That’s when Deborah Hill came back for seconds, firing off: “They both got that tight body.”

The studio erupted. The Hills high-fived like they’d won the Super Bowl, the crowd roared, and Harvey blushed so hard he had to lean back. Ms. Deborah wasn’t done either, adding a saucy, “Alright now. Alright now!”

Harvey, laughing through it, gave her the title she earned: “Aight, M\s. Deborah gon’ bring out the cougar!”

Moments like this explain why “Family Feud” still hits.

Harvey doesn’t just host — he reacts, improvises, and reminds everyone that the funniest TV is the kind you can’t script.

‘Someone Call HR’: Donald Trump Tries Praising Kristi Noem with Pet Name In Public But Sets Off Social Media Firestorm Instead

Sun, 08/24/2025 - 15:00

President Donald Trump raised a few eyebrows and set off a wave of social media ridicule at an event Thursday in Washington, D.C., where he was thanking his staff for their help in the federalization of the Washington police department in a takeover related to crime reduction as dozens of federal law enforcement officers looked on.

“Where’s my Kristi?” the president asked, looking around for his Department of Homeland Security chief Kristi Noem, after praising “popular” Interior Secretary Doug Burgum and “greatest” Attorney General Pam Bondi.

“There you are, dear,” he gushed when he saw her. “Thank you very much. She’s been incredible. And she can ride a horse like nobody. She gets on those horses, she rips those horses around,” Trump fawned.

What? What the hell is he talking about?

Those patronizing remarks about her prowess with horses were kind of a put down in way and undercut her authority as DHS chief in front of members of Homeland Security, the FBI, DEA, US Marshals, ATF and Secret Service, who were all listening.

Does he hear himself when he talks? I’m laughing so hard. I’m gonna pee my pants,” Ronda Vogts wondered on Threads.

“I just don’t get it! I don’t f#cking get it! Most cult leaders are at least charismatic!” Threads user Art Gar said. “How does anyone listen to this & think he should be leading anything except the way to the pudding line at the retirement home! Are they all brain dead?!”

‘He Is a Bumbling Idiot’: Trump Caught ‘Glitching Again’ with Kristi Noem On Stage—Tries to Style It Out, But the Internet Is Absolutely Dragging Him

“She’s his now? Someone call HR. This is sexual harassment.” this Threads poster didn’t mince words. Many found Trump’s pet name for Noem both “gross” and “creepy.”

“The statesman speaks to the nation ‘my Kristi, dear’ … what a patronising old fool! The sexual undertones are revolting … how does he treat women in the privacy of his office? Well, we all know the answer to that!” Peter Swales observed.

“She does what with horses? Is this a “Catherine the great” reference?” another shocked Threads user commented.

“Where were you on JANUARY 6TH!” still another social media poster wondered about Trump’s event with Washingto federal agents.

Noem, a former South Dakota governor and rancher, has plenty of experience on horseback and has showcased herself many times atop horses for media ops since taking office earlier this year.

She saddled up with a U.S. Boder Patrol unit shortly after she was confirmed as DHS head and then in July she went galloping around in Argentina with the country’s security minister.

Also in July, Noem faced backlash for again showcasing pictures of herself astride a horse and asking for feedback on social media on which shot South Dakota officials should hang in the capitol in Pierre.

But whomp, whomp. After such fawning over by Trump, Noem found herself handing out pizza alongside U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia and former Fox News host Jeanine Pirro (also not a good look for the chief of Homeland Security). That’s a long way from the glamorous horseback rides, leading federal agents along the southern border, in full make-up and cosplay ICE gear.

‘I’m Not a Nurse, But…’: Trump’s Latest Hand Photos Go Viral As Viewers Question Everything About Karoline Leavitt’s White House Explanation

Sun, 08/24/2025 - 12:00

President Donald Trump is facing fresh scrutiny after new photos of his right hand showed a clumsy patch of makeup smeared across his skin, a sight so odd it left many online asking if the images were even real.

On Friday, Aug. 22, Trump, 79, made a stop at The People’s House exhibit down the street from the White House, and photographers made a point to zoom in and capture several photos of the president’s right hand.

This isn’t the first time Trump has faced public scrutiny over his poorly applied hand makeup.

Just last month, Trump’s headstrong press secretary Karoline Leavitt brushed off growing concerns over his health, claiming the discoloration was nothing more than bruising from his “vigorous handshaking.”

Leavitt’s framing came directly from the president’s physician who provided an official White House memo released to the public in July. “This is consistent with minor soft tissue irritation from frequent handshaking and the use of aspirin, which is taken as part of a standard cardiovascular prevention regimen,” Leavitt said as she read the memo to the press.

But those remarks haven’t aged well as the latest close-ups appear to show a poorly blended foundation job meant to hide something deeper, further fueling theories that won’t go away.

One post on Threads with two recent photos of Trump’s hand set off thousands of comments on social media. The caption simply read, “both of these photos of Trump’s hand were taken today.” Then the firestorm began.

View on Threads

One user wrote: “I’m not a nurse, but that looks like a blown vein poorly covered with liquid foundation.”

“So is he getting blood transfusions or intravenous fluids on the regular?,” inquired another.

Another joked, “Skipped the blending module again at beauty school.” And one more bluntly said, “This isn’t even trying to hide it. He wants us fixated on that.”

‘Typical MAGA Tactic’: Karoline Leavitt Crashes Out After Reporter Pressed Her About Trump’s Sneaky Phone Call with Foreign Leader

Others were simply aghast: “Is this fake?” one asked. Another joked: “That is NOT from shaking hands.”

And while all eyes are on Trump’s hand, some haven’t forgotten his other visible ailments. “Forget the orange makeup on his hand,” a Daily Beast op-ed begins. “The real tell on Donald Trump is below the knee,” and said Trump’s visibly swollen ankles are a “flashing neon sign of a body under pressure” that shouldn’t be swept under the rug.

Doctors have said Trump has chronic venous insufficiency, a circulatory problem that makes swelling and bruising more common, according to John Hopkins Medicine. The White House insists it’s nothing serious. But critics point out that every time former President Joe Biden cleared his throat, cable news ran endless health segments, while Trump’s seeming ailments get explained away as nothing to see here.

“If Biden walked out looking like this, Fox News would run it for a week straight,” one person wrote on Threads.

Trump’s health concerns are starting to show up in polls too. Data for Progress finds the share of Americans who believe Trump is too old to be president has jumped 10 points over the last year to 49 percent, with independents showing a 12-point rise. Just under half now say his age makes him unfit for office. More Americans now say they doubt Trump has the “mental and cognitive” ability to complete out this term through 2029.

For a president toying with breaking constitutional limits to secure a third term, the constant flood of poorly concealed hand makeup and a laundry list of gaffes and blunders is shifting the debate.

‘They Are Lopsided’: Ellie Goulding’s Risqué Black-and-White Selfie Doesn’t Land as Planned, Fans Call Out Her Face and Body

Sun, 08/24/2025 - 00:19

Ellie Goulding is in the mood to show off her looks.

The British singer and songwriter posted a black and white filtered selfie on Wednesday, Aug. 20. In it, she posed in a mirror behind a bed wearing hardly anything. Despite the nature of the photo, some fans weren’t allured or impressed.

The “Love Me Like You Do” artist snapped the picture of herself in no other clothes but white and lacy bottoms. She held the phone up with both hands, over the bottom portion of her face. The 38-year-old was able to keep a portion of her chest hidden by pressing both of her forearms against each one. She didn’t have any extra body parts to cover her abdomen region. So her six pack was fully on display.

‘What Did She Do’: Miley Cyrus Shows All In New Photo But Fans Can’t Stop Talking About What She Did to Her Mouth

Without a caption, it’s not clear if Goulding had a true purpose for sharing the image. Or maybe, she was just feeling herself. But it seems like some fans did not share the same sentiments.

One person commenting in the Daily Mail’s section for its usual hateful responses said, “They are lopsided,” referring to her chest.

Someone else wrote, “I never liked her singing, but now I feel sad for her face or body. It looks a hot mess.”

Aside from the critics of her body, some people had more to say about her face. While you rarely see it in the photo, it appears those who are familiar with the way she looks had some things to get off their chest.

One said, “Ellie Goulding is otherwise a completely beautiful woman…. shame her grouper lips have to ruin it!!”

Though she’s never openly admitted to getting any fillers in her lips, photos from her younger years show that her mouth has gotten plumper.

Another person commented, “I never thought she was attractive.”

Someone else typed, “Careful with that chin, she’ll have someones eye out.”

Back in 2017, she opened up to Stylist about her thoughts on natural beauty.

“As I get older, the more natural I want to be and the more I want my beauty to come from within,” she said. “I love hair, makeup and skin care products as much as the next person … but I think there needs to be more emphasis on who you are as a person, and the body and face that you were given.”

There have also been accusations about her breasts being surgically enhanced.

But back in 2014, Goulding told Glamour magazine that she had a real fear of surgery.

“I’m petrified of anything like that (surgery). My friends will think that’s hilarious. I ran every day for seven months, maybe too obsessively, and when I stopped I became curvier.”

She also addressed allegations about her chest.

She said, “People underestimate how you can shape your body. Since I stopped eating meat and fish, my body’s better than ever. I feel calmer, clean, although I drink and smoke. And – touch wood! – I never get ill on tour anymore. And it’s always hectic, man.”

‘Typical MAGA Tactic’: Karoline Leavitt Crashes Out After Reporter Pressed Her About Trump’s Sneaky Phone Call with Foreign Leader

Sat, 08/23/2025 - 21:28

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt is at it again, attacking a reporter over a legitimate question about Monday’s White House summit between President Donald Trump and European leaders. The fiery exchange, which ended with Leavitt dodging the question as she lashed out in fury, quickly drew sharp reactions across social media.

Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and seven other European leaders met with Trump over how to end Russia’s war on Ukraine.

After the meeting Trump left the other leaders to call Putin to update the Russian president on the talks. He later told Fox News he did not want to call Putin in front of the Europeans because he thought it would be “disrespectful.”

Insisting that Putin would not want to speak with them either because “they’ve not had the warmest relations.”

At Tuesday’s White House press briefing New York Times reporter Shawn McCreesh asked an obvious question.

“If the point is to get everybody on the same page, why wouldn’t Trump just take the call from Putin while the other leaders were in the room? He said it would be disrespectful to do that, but why is it disrespectful?” McCreesh asked.

Only a press secretary dodging accountability like Karoline Leavitt would insult a legitimate question instead of answering why Trump snubbed Putin during key Ukraine talks.

That’s when Leavitt boiled over.

“With all due respect, only a reporter from the New York Times would ask a question like that, Shawn,” she simpered.

Then Leavitt totally avoided answering the question and rambled on about how quickly the Europeans came to Washington.

Karoline Leavitt Visibly Upset and Stumbling Over Her Words As Reporter Reminds Her That Trump Once Said Gabbard Doesn’t Know What She’s Talking About

“The President met with all these European leaders at the White House 48 hours after sitting down with President Putin on American soil. In fact, there was so much progress in the read-out that was given to these European leaders immediately following his meeting with President Putin that every single one of them got on a plane 48 hours later and flew to the United States of America.”

It’s unclear why she said that, because Trump’s plans to meet with Zelenskyy and the European leaders were announced before he met with Putin. So not only did she not answer the question, her answer didn’t even make sense.

Social media quickly roasted Leavitt over her deviousness.

“Only a press secretary dodging accountability like Karoline Leavitt would insult a legitimate question instead of answering why Trump snubbed Putin during key Ukraine talks,” social media user Richard Angwin pointed out in a post on X.

“When they dislike a question, they bash the reporter—a typical MAGA tactic,” DJ Omega Mvp observed.

“Just once, I would love a reporter to reply ‘that is not an answer’ and repeat the question,” this X user pined.

Trump thought it was “disrespectful” to Putin to call him in front of our allies, so he snuck it in behind their backs.

“Trump thought it was ‘disrespectful’ to Putin to call him in front of our allies, so he snuck it in behind their backs,” Evaristus Odinikaeze said in a post on X. “That says it all: he puts Putin’s feelings above America’s strength and unity with Europe. This X user wondered, “Again, who’s the boss here?” with that caption above a photo of Putin holding Trump as a puppet on his arm.

After the meeting, Trump, Zelenskyy and other European leaders expressed support for direct talks between Zelenskyy and Putin, something Trump also mentioned after his meeting with Putin Friday in Alaska, but which the Russian president repeatedly has avoided responding to.

Leavitt also said Tuesday plans for talks between Putin and Zelenskyy are underway. The Kremlin has dodged any commitments to a meeting with Zelenskyy but hasn’t ruled out further talks, according to CNN.

‘She Ain’t Tired of Putting Her Foot in Her Mouth’: Ayesha Curry’s Latest Comment Leaves Fans Wondering If She Secretly Regrets Her Marriage to Steph

Sat, 08/23/2025 - 19:58

Ayesha Curry is yet again facing backlash after revealing on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast that she never wanted marriage or motherhood.

After disclosing what she used to think, social media lit up with critics calling her out for oversharing, questioning why she keeps exposing private details about her marriage to Steph Curry, and whether it’s hurting their public image.

Ayesha Curry is facing criticism after revealing on a podcast that she originally never wanted marriage or children before meeting Stephen Curry. (Photos: @ayesha/curry/Instagram)

The 36-year-old mother of four opened up to host Alex Cooper about how dramatically her perspective shifted after falling in love with the Golden State Warriors point guard. Before their relationship began, Ayesha was pursuing an acting career in Los Angeles with completely different aspirations for her future.

“I didn’t want kids. I didn’t wanna get married. I thought I was gonna be a career girl and that’s it,” Ayesha confessed.

‘Does His Wife Still Crave the Attention?’: Steph Curry’s Picture-Perfect Family Photo Backfires as Trolls Revisit Ayesha’s Past Comments About Craving Male Validation

“And I had my eyes set on my goals, and I was never the little girl that, like, dreamt about the wedding dress and all of that,” she added. The revelation struck a nerve with listeners, particularly given her previous controversial statements about their marriage and relationship dynamics.

The couple’s love story began when they first met in 2003, though they didn’t start dating until 2009. Ayesha admitted she wasn’t certain about marrying at just 22 years old, but knew Stephen was the person she wanted to spend her life with. Their whirlwind romance led to marriage in July 2011, and less than a year later, they welcomed their first daughter, Riley.

“After we got married, we found out we were pregnant with our daughters so quickly I didn’t even have time to think about what I wanted anymore,” she shared. “It’s so interesting. I spent my entire life, like, trying to work towards something, and then it kind of just disappeared, and I didn’t think twice about it.”

The podcast discussion also touched on another surprising revelation about Stephen’s career trajectory. Ayesha disclosed that she initially didn’t expect her husband to become an NBA star, believing instead that he wanted to coach high school basketball. She even advised him to stay in school rather than enter the 2009 NBA draft, where he was ultimately selected seventh overall by the Warriors.

More and more, the mother of four is revealing how she was as a teen and the misconceptions she had about her now-husband.

In a March 2025 Christian Broadcasting Network interview, Ayesha discussed her teenage dating rule of avoiding athletes entirely. She admitted to writing off all athletes was arrogant, and that she was embarrassed that when she was younger had generalized people and put them in boxes. Meeting Stephen challenged those preconceptions completely.

The latest revelations have generated intense reactions across social media platforms.

When The Jasmine Brand posted about the interview on its Instagram, followers shared their thoughts.

“Based on some of her comments in the past & now this a part of me wonders if she second guesses her marriage in the back of her mind or wonders ‘what if’ lol,” one person wrote.

Another follower defended career-minded women, writing, “Career girl is NOT synonomous with not wanting to be a wife and mother. Stop using it as an opposite to wife and mother. I know many fabulous career girls who are also great wives and mothers.”

More pointed criticism came from users who felt her comments crossed a line.

“She hates him,” one person wrote bluntly, while another added, “She ain’t tired of putting her foot in her mouth so nawl, we ain’t tired.”

However, some offered more balanced perspectives.

“She could still be a career woman, mom, and wife,” one person wrote, acknowledging that these roles aren’t mutually exclusive.

Despite the backlash, Ayesha has indeed built a substantial business empire alongside her family responsibilities. Her entrepreneurial journey has included cookbook authorship, television appearances, and restaurant ventures, though not all have succeeded. Her Sweet July café and store in Oakland permanently closed in February 2025 due to safety concerns, while her Las Vegas International Smoke location also ceased operations.

However, she maintains her flagship International Smoke restaurant in San Francisco, co-owned with celebrity chef Michael Mina, which continues attracting customers, including former President Barack Obama.

She also recently opened another Sweet July café at the Regent Santa Monica hotel.

The Curry family, now including daughters Riley, 12, and Ryan, 9, as well as sons Canon, 6, and baby Caius, continues to navigate public scrutiny while building their respective careers. Stephen recently signed a historic $62.6 million contract, making him the first NBA player to earn $60 million in a single season.

While critics may view Ayesha’s revelations as potentially damaging to Stephen’s image, the four-time NBA champion appears unbothered by his wife’s candid approach to sharing their personal journey.

‘He Could Sip Tea with the Devil’: Black Mom Says Cops Would Have Buried Her Son If Roles Were Reversed—But White Teen Who Hit Boy With Gun, Gets ‘Simple Assault’

Sat, 08/23/2025 - 19:21

Disturbing video footage that has been widely circulated on social media shows a white teenager in Mississippi forcing a Black boy to do jumping jacks at gunpoint while shouting racial slurs and threatening to kill him.

The viral video shows a white 16-year-old teenager point a gun at a 13-year-old Black boy, calling him a “b**** a** n****,” and ordering him to do jumping jacks while threatening to “pop” his “a**,” before accusing him of making romantic advances at his girlfriend.

He then hits the boy on the side of his head with the gun and orders him to “run home.” The boy is seen running away while the teen calls after him, threatening to kill him if he talks to his girlfriend again.

The incident reportedly happened in Columbus, Mississippi. The victim has since been identified as 13-year-old Jaryan Cox.

Cox’s mother accused the teen of luring her son out of his home at gunpoint, then assaulting him.

The Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office arrested the assailant on Aug. 3 after the video began circulating on social media.

Deputies charged him with misdemeanor simple assault and minor in possession of a weapon, charges that sparked fury and demonstrations among members of the community who thought they were too lenient given the teen’s heinous conduct.

Cox’s mother called the charges a “slap on the wrist,” and said that her child was “traumatized” by the incident. She added that if roles were reversed, law enforcement would have treated the case with more severity.

‘You Need to Go!’: Entitled White Woman Tries to Evict Family from Beach, Claiming It’s Private Property, Then Realizes She Can’t Call the Cops, Video Shows

“When he pulled that gun and threatened my child’s life, that was aggravated assault with a deadly weapon,” the mother said. “That would have been done (to my child). My child would be so far under the jail right now, he could sip tea with the devil. He’s 13. They would have still charged him as an adult.”

The family has transferred Cox to another school and says he’s currently undergoing counseling.

The sheriff’s office has not released the suspect’s identity at this time. They told local news affiliates that he lives in Caledonia, which is less than 20 miles from Columbus.

The suspect’s mother told WCBI that the family turned the teen in and surrendered the gun to local law enforcement as soon as they saw the video. His family has requested the court to keep him in custody while the investigation continues.

“I’m sorry for everything that’s happened,” the mother said.

Local authorities say the teen’s charges could be upgraded to felonies based on his criminal history and depending on the results of a grand jury’s review of the case.

“The video is so disturbing that I could definitely see a grand jury saying, if (the victim) had any type of injury and the fact that a gun was used, that could be aggravated assault,” District Attorney Scott Colom said.

Days after the teen’s arrest, nearly 100 protesters attended the “We Will Be Heard Protest,” where family members made fiery pleas for fair treatment of Black victims in the criminal justice system.

“I hope y’all hear our hearts. I hope y’all hear our anger, the rage that we have,” Cox’s aunt, Laqulia Shinn, said. We just want justice, and we want fair justice. We want him to be treated as if he was Jaryan, if Jaryan did it.”

Shinn has been actively posting updates on her Instagram page including the raw footage of the incident. New Jersey Commissioner Roz Thompson was moved by one of the posts, calling it “Outrageous.”

Some community members have raised questions about whether the incident qualifies as a hate crime.

“If there’s evidence he did it because of race, that’s one thing. If the evidence shows it stemmed from another motive, that complicates it,” Colom added.

‘Nobody to Blame But Herself’: Fans Unbothered As Paula Deen Cries Over the Career-Ending Racial Scandal That Destroyed Her Television Reign

Sat, 08/23/2025 - 16:39

Twelve years after a scandal ended her career on television, Paula Deen is telling her side of the story again. The former Food Network star was beloved on the network for her thick country accent and warm personality on camera. Not to mention, she was teaching her audience how to make Southern-style meals at home.

That all came crashing down when Deen was sued for discrimination and harassment in 2013. She went off the grid for years, but has slowly resurfaced in the last several years with her cooking Youtube channel, and the release of another cookbook in 2023 called “Love & Best Dishes.” Now she is addressing her transgressions head on in her upcoming  documentary called “Canceled: The Paula Deen Story.” In an Aug. 20 interview with “Fox and Friends,” she opened up about her struggles with a mental health condition and nearly dying after the backlash from the lawsuit.

During the interview, TV host Steve Doocy tossed over to Deen to talk about the documentary, which will premiere at the Toronto Film Festival in September.

‘Karma is Everything’: Paula Deen’s Restaurant Closures Ignite Uproar After Resurfaced Clip Claims She Took Recipes from a Black Woman

Speaking candidly she said, “My children and I were a little leery at first but then we decided – let me tell you something Steve, I thought I was gon’ die of a broken heart. And I said, I couldn’t let myself fall back into that terrible agoraphobia, but I had like 5 and a half 6 million people come in on my Facebook and put their arms around me and without y’all, I would not have survived.”

Deen opened up to Doocy earlier in the interview about her agoraphobia condition. She said, “I self-diagnosed myself after watching “The Phil Donahue Show,” with these people that couldn’t leave their house. And I considered what I would call a functioning sometimes-agoraphobic.”

She described it as feeling “so afraid someone’s going to hurt you.” The 78-year-old talked about losing her father in her early 20s and how her mother passed away four years later. Being parentless, it was her responsibility to raise her 16-year-old brother and her two children Bobby and Jamie Deen who, at the time, were younger than 3 years old.

After 20 years of dealing with that she “woke up” and something changed.

She said, “I got up out of bed and I walked over and cut on the light and the Serenity Prayer went through my head, and I said, ‘Girl, you are so stupid. That’s what you’re supposed to be asking God for, to be able to accept the serenity to accept the things you couldn’t change, the courage to change the things that you could, and dear Lord, please give me the sense to know the difference between those two things.’”

Fans reacted to Deen’s interview.

One person on New York Post said, “All that hate is catching up to her.. Sorry..not sorry!”

Another wrote, “There is no room in the world today for racism. She was queen of the hill and her racial insults help cause her decline. Nobody to blame but herself.”

Someone on Page Six’s Facebook post said, “That doesn’t erase what she did and said,” referring to the accusations of bigotry that derailed Deen’s career.

On  New York Post’s Facebook post another mocked Deen and said, “Racism & all that butter, it’ll give you a ‘broken heart’ all right.”

As for her documentary, it will address the scandal from over a decade ago when she was fired from the network after admitting to using the N-word several times in a 2013 deposition.

The deposition was part of a lawsuit that was not only against Deen. It also named her brother Earl “Bubba” Heirs, and corporate entities, and it was filed by the former manager of Deen and Heirs’ restaurant called Uncle Bubba’s Seafood and Oyster House.

The former manager Lisa Jackson sued for discrimination, as well as gender-based harassment.

In the deposition, it was revealed that Jackson, who had been working for Deen’s family for years, was in charge of the food and serving arrangements at Heirs’ wedding in 2007.

Deen said she wanted “a true Southern-style wedding” for her brother and Jackson asked what type of uniforms the servers should wear.

In a transcript from the deposition, Deen said, “Well what I would really like is a bunch of little n—–s to wear long-sleeve white shirts, black shorts and black bow ties, you know in the Shirley Temple days, they used to tap dance around.” Paula Deen laughed and said “Now that would be a true Southern wedding, wouldn’t it? But we can’t do that because the media would be on me about that.”

Among the racial discrimination claims, Jackson said black employees at the restaurant were forced to use the back entrance and prohibited from using the front. Heirs would also drop the N-word at work and make racist remarks to employees.

In the complaint, Jackson claimed she was “subjected to violent behavior by Heirs.” She also said he would comment on her legs and ask for her to bring younger pictures of herself at work. Additionally, he often watched pornography at work.

In Aug. 2013, a Georgia federal judge dismissed the racial discrimination claims because Jackson was a white individual herself. However, he left the harassment claims unresolved.

Later that same month, the lawsuit was settled with no award of cost or fees.

By April 2014, Uncle Bubba’s closed down.

‘Why is She Wearing Her Nightgown?’: Zoe Kravitz’s Bold Sheer Outfit Sparks Shock and Disgust

Fri, 08/22/2025 - 23:42

Zoë Kravitz thought she was making a bold fashion statement at Thursday night’s Paris premiere of “Caught Stealing,” but her lingerie-like outfit left many fans scratching their heads instead.

Many online critics felt her Saint Laurent slip dress was better suited for the bedroom than the red carpet, deeming it inappropriate and out of place at such a high-profile event.

Even standing next to co-star Austin Butler, Kravitz’s outfit stole the spotlight — and not in a good way.

The 36-year-old daughter of Lenny Kravitz and Lisa Bonet went braless beneath the nightgown style, pairing the silk satin design with black satin crepe Saint Laurent Frankie Mules. Her signature arm tattoos could be prominently seen in the sleeveless look, creating a striking contrast between delicate femininity and bold body art.

While she and her stylist thought she was killing it, when Daily Mail readers saw Kravitz’s outfit, they erupted with the torrent of crude critiques typical of the conservative tabloid’s comment section.

“Why’s she wearing her nightie?” one reader questioned, while another commented, “She forgot to get dressed.”

A third reader wondered, “Why is she wearing her nightgown outside? Am I aging myself? Lol.”

Surprisingly, Kravitz’s style team worked hard for the look.

Photos show that they kept her styling relatively understated, allowing the dress to serve as the focal point of her appearance. Her hair was pulled back into a sleek ponytail with carefully placed face-framing pieces, while accessories remained minimal with just an arm cuff and silver drop earrings.

The subdued glam approach attempted to emphasize the natural beauty that has made her a sought-after actress and style icon. But critics just were not into her look, with one stating, “She looks awful.”

According to OK! Magazine, the “Blink Twice” star and director has consistently chosen Saint Laurent pieces throughout the new film’s promotional press tour, establishing a cohesive aesthetic vision for her promotional appearances.

For some, this new look with the nightgown-inspired dress distracted from the chemistry with Butler, 34, who wore a black and khaki button-down sweater with leather pants. Her co-star wore a far more conventional look than the famous nepo kid.

Not all online commentary focused solely on fashion choices. Some critics went further with their assessments, taking a concerning turn when observers expressed worry about her physical well-being.

However, Kravitz did have some supporters who quickly came to her defense.

“She has always been extremely thin,” one person noted, attempting to provide context for those unfamiliar with the actress’s naturally slender build.

These recent discussions echo similar concerns that surfaced in July when paparazzi photographs of Kravitz leaving The Bowery Hotel in New York City sparked online debate.

The casual outing images, showing her in an oversized “Black History Month” shirt with black athletic shorts and heels, led some fans to express worry about her health due to how the baggy clothing appeared to emphasize her petite frame.

In “Caught Stealing,” set to hit theaters on Aug. 29, Kravitz plays the love interest of Butler’s character, a former baseball player turned New York City bartender who gets mixed up with gangsters. Film critics are loving the movie, which also includes Regina King, Matt Smith, Bad Bunny, and Vincent D’Onofrio in the ensemble cast, and her role.

TheWrap describes the film directed by Guy Ritchie as potentially “his most fun movie… ever,” Great reviews and all, ahead of the film’s release, it was her red carpet look that had people talking.

Kravitz’s decision to wear a satiny Saint Laurent lace dress wasn’t just a fashion choice — it was a statement. While some are in an uproar, others saw it as her sticking to the fearless, no-apologies style that’s made her a red carpet standout.

‘Everything But a Child of God’: White Lawn Worker Calls Arizona Black Pastor a ‘Dumb N****r’ In Video, But Claims He Was Provoked

Fri, 08/22/2025 - 21:00

A Black pastor in Arizona filmed the moments a man drove up and called him a racial slur the day after the man shoved him and sprayed him with a hose.

Pastor Paul Abram, who leads Southern Avenue Missionary Baptist Church in south Phoenix, told local news outlets that he was watering the dirt along an easement on his property to tamp down dust for air quality when Brian Merrill confronted him.

Merrill was reportedly hired to clear weeds on the other side of the easement.

Abram started filming Merrill when he pulled up in his SUV with the window rolled down. The now-viral video shows Merrill telling Abram, “This is our easement here. We don’t want water on our side. Dumb n****r.”

Merrill then parks his car and appears to start complaining to someone on the phone.

Black Man Fleed to Another Truck After White Mob Flipped His Trailer with Bulldozers, Then One Held Him at Gunpoint and Tried to Change the Narrative, He Says

“I’ve been called everything but a child of God,” Abram told KPNX. “At 62 years old, I have more time behind me than in front of me, and I want to be an example … You can agree to disagree, but don’t use that word. I don’t care if you’re Black or white—it’s just not necessary.”

The Aug. 13 confrontation wasn’t the first encounter Abram had with Merrill.

Surveillance video from the day before shows Merrill shoving Abram and spraying him with water. Abram said Merrill was doing work on a neighboring property that was noisy and disruptive. When he asked Merrill when the work would end, Merrill told him to mind his own business and dropped a bunch of “F bombs” and other derogatory terms, according to the Arizona Republic.

He then sprayed Abram’s feet and pushed him.

Abram looked to the woman who employed Merrill for support, but she said nothing.

“I stumbled a bit when he sprayed me,” Abram recalled. “I told the property owner that’s unacceptable. You can’t do that.”

Merrill disputed Abram’s version of events, arguing that Abram brazenly confronted him, calling him a “(expletive) idiot” and then a “cracker.”

In a phone interview, Merrill told the Arizona Republic that Abram is a “social media nut” who was “full of crap.”

Merrill maintains that he was the one who was provoked by Abram, but acknowledged that using the slur was wrong and wants to remedy the situation. He claimed that, following the viral video, internet sleuths have contacted the employers of his family members, seeking to have them terminated.

“I’m sincerely sorry this whole thing happened, but I swear to God on my life, I didn’t go look for this problem,” Merrill said.

Merrill’s employer confirmed that Merrill called Abram a racial slur, but still defended Merrill’s character, calling him “unbelievably nice” and “helpful.” She said “there was some aggression on both sides,” and “testosterone flying all over the place.”

“It wasn’t like he yelled it (the racial epithet),” Diana Rogers said. “He just said it in very low terms, kind of under his breath, almost.”

Back in April, Abram recorded Merrill lighting a large fire at a neighboring lot. The video was overlaid with text stating that Merrill tends to use racial slurs regularly.

Abram filed a police report for attempted assault in the Aug. 13 incident and also reported the incident from the day prior. He said he also plans to file a harassment injunction against Merrill, as well.

‘Is Something Wrong?’: Donald Trump’s ‘Beautiful Grass Has a Life’ Speech Derails as All Eyes Lock on the Woman In the Background

Fri, 08/22/2025 - 18:04

President Donald Trump went off the rails in a speech to Washington, D.C., law enforcement Thursday when he suddenly started bragging that he knew more “than anyone alive” about “beautiful grass,” a moment that quickly drew reactions online.

Yes, you heard that right, and not the kind of grass you smoke, although one wouldn’t be crazy if they thought Trump was smoking a little grass.

He was talking to dozens of agents, officers and National Guard troops to thank them for their efforts to reduce crime in the capital, when he suddenly lost his train of thought and ran right off the rails.

“I’m very good at grass, because I have a lot of golf courses all over the place. I know more about grass than any human being I think anywhere in the world,” the president boasted as he talked about “redoing” D.C. parks.

“We are going to be re-grassing your parks, all brand new sprinklers systems, the best that you can buy. Just like Augusta. It will look like Augusta. It will look, more importantly, like Trump National Golf Club. That’s even better,” he declared.

“We are gonna have all brand-new beautiful grass. You know, like everything else, grass has a life. You know that? Grass has a life. We have a life, and grass as a life,” the President said as he philosophically pondered the life of grass.

He then detailed his grass strategy to law enforcement.

“The grass here died about 40 years ago. So, we’re gonna be rebuilding all of your parks, and it is gonna happen fast. It’s going to go up like a miracle. You do the job on safety, and I’ll get this place picked up physically. And, we’re going to be so proud of it.”

The President said in six months Washington will be a place of “beauty,” it will be “maxed out in terms of beauty,” he claimed.

View on Threads

“Everything’s going to look beautiful.”

Video of Trump’s digression about grass shows him flanked by enthusiastic white male officers. There’s one lone woman who wasn’t having any of it. She stoood there with a straight face, and social media went nuts.

“Notice all the white men are gushing, meanwhile the sole woman seems unimpressed,” Darlene Mackenzie wrote on Threads.

Another added, “That lady behind him will beat everyone at poker! I wish there was a thought bubble, but her face is speaking!”

At least one other officer had trouble taking Trump seriously. “This guy. Wishing the hell he was anywhere else other than having to listen to this sh#t,” this Threads user posted.

Other reactions were hilarious.

“I’d rather watch grass grow than hear this buffoon speak…,” Drew Jaxson commented on Threads.

“Well, I believe he’s lost it – – whatever he ever had… I think he paved over a Rose Garden, did he not? I suppose that roses, unlike grass, do not have lives…,” Larry J. Griffin wrote, referring to Trump’s makeover of the White House Rose Garden.

“That man child is literally the dumbest moron in the world,” another Threads user said.

And then this: “The peasants see only lawns, but he sees living blades, breathing with destiny. Grass bends to his golf courses like nations bend to his will. He alone communes with the turf, whispering to it as it whispers back, “You are our caretaker, you are our life,” Glory to Dear Leader quipped poetically.

Trump was thanking law enforcement after sending in National Guard troops to the nation’s capital almost two weeks ago in an effort, he claimed, to reduce crime, which was already down significantly in recent years.

‘WTF Happened!!!!’: Trump Once Called the Smithsonsian Museum ‘A Shining Example,’ Now He’s Pretending He Never Said It and MAGA Will Believe Him

Fri, 08/22/2025 - 13:12

President Donald Trump is now blasting the Smithsonian’s slavery exhibits, a complete reversal from the glowing praise he gave the museum in 2017 that the internet isn’t letting slide.

“The Smithsonian is OUT OF CONTROL, where everything discussed is how horrible our Country is, how bad Slavery was, and how unaccomplished the downtrodden have been — Nothing about Success, nothing about Brightness, nothing about the Future,” Trump wrote on TruthSocial.

Trump confirmed that he will be having attorneys review the Smithsonian’s museums to determine their level of U.S. patriotism, and pointed to a similar process his administration mandated to crack down on DEI initiatives at some of the nation’s top colleges and universities.

“We are not going to allow this to happen, and I have instructed my attorneys to go through the Museums, and start the exact same process that has been done with Colleges and Universities where tremendous progress has been made,” Trump added. “This Country cannot be WOKE, because WOKE IS BROKE. We have the ‘HOTTEST’ Country in the World, and we want people to talk about it, including in our Museums.”

‘Concerning’: Pam Bondi ‘Brazenly’ Lied to Trump About the Reach of His Power and No One Seemingly Blinked an Eye During ‘Nauseating and Cringe’ Cabinet Session

According to ABC News, the White House had already planned to conduct a comprehensive review of eight of the Smithsonian’s museums, including the National Museum of African American History and Culture (NMAAHC), ahead of the country’s 250th anniversary.

The Trump administration sent a letter to Smithsonian Institution Secretary Lonnie Bunch, explaining that the purpose of the review was to ensure that the museums “reflect the unity, progress, and enduring values that define the American story.”

Now, Trump is underscoring an urgent need to survey the museums with fresh criticisms pointing to specific exhibits about chattel slavery and periods of American history that don’t paint the country in a positive light.

The impassioned sentiments the president shared on TruthSocial are poles apart from the remarks he delivered in February 2017 after he toured the NMAAHC in D.C., which is the Smithsonian’s 19th facility.

Shortly after his tour, he said he wanted to return to do an even more in-depth walkthrough, calling the museum “incredible,” and adding that his tour was a “meaningful reminder” of the significance of the fight against racial injustice.

Trump 2017: This museum is a beautiful tribute to so many American heroes. It's amazing to see… This tour was a meaningful reminder of why we have to fight bigotry, intolerance and hatred in all of its very ugly forms. pic.twitter.com/7SJJzFVmUP

— Acyn (@Acyn) August 20, 2025

In an official White House statement about the museum, Trump said the facility is a “shining example of African Americans’ incredible contributions” to U.S. culture and history.

He also said that the museum showcases the “great struggle for freedom and equality that prevailed against the sins of slavery, and the injustice of discrimination.”

Not surprisingly, the president’s 180 didn’t go unoticed. One critic asked plainly, “WTF Happened!!!!” Another added, “Trump forgot he said this and will say he never said that , and MAGA will believe him!”

CNN’s Abby Phillip also shared a clip of Trump’s former take and questioned whether he even believed what he was reading.

‘They Ran Out of Staples’: Kristi Noem’s Appearance on Fox News Derails After Viewers Zoom In on Her Head

Fri, 08/22/2025 - 12:39

Kristi Noem has been making headlines lately, mostly for all the wrong reasons. Now, she’s bubbling to the surface on social media and in the same vein.

The Secretary of Homeland Security was recently mocked by South Park, portrayed as a puppy murderer in an allusion to her killing her dog, Cricket, in real life years ago, as revealed in a shocking disclosure in her memoir. Then she was mistaken for pro golfer Cristie Kerr by her very own boss, President Donald Trump. This time, the politician is gaining attention for her unusual new hairdo.

U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem speaks with a reporter on her plane while en route from Quito, Ecuador to Joint Base Andrews, Maryland on July 31, 2025. Noem was on a multi-day visit to Argentina, Chile, and Paraguay. (Photo by Alex Brandon-Pool/Getty Images)

She reportedly has a penchant for hair extensions. They don’t call her “ICE Barbie” for nothing.

The highest-ranking official within the DHS appeared on Fox News’ “Hannity” show to give Trump credit for a drop in crime in Washington, D.C., after the temporary federal takeover of the police department. But her hair completely overshadowed her talking points.

Looks like they ran out of staples.

— Brains Matter (@brainsmatter_x) August 19, 2025

“Why does her hair look so weird. Are those her extensions on top of her head?” asked a confused person on X, who had tuned in for the latest news but was distracted by the hair instead. “She’s just trying to cover up her horns,” read a joking response, one of a thousand people who couldn’t resist commenting.

“She’s like Cruella Deville, wearing the hair of her ex-puppies,” wrote one who will never let Noem live her memoir down.

Longtime Noem-watchers are accustomed to her ever-changing looks and inappropriate cosplay outfits, where she matches her wardrobe to the mission. The camo leggings and ballcap ensemble she wore on a recent visit to Chile even raised the hackles of former Fox News host Megyn Kelly, who said on her show, “Just stop trying to glamorize the mission and put yourself in the middle of it as you cosplay ICE agent, which you’re not. Stop with the glam.”

But Noem has many supporters, including a few outspoken Republicans who pointed to a double standard in the comments of the recent “hair” video: “I remember when Democrats used to say it was wrong to attack women for their appearance, and now that’s all they do,” wrote one.

Over on her official Instagram, Noem accompanied the clip with statistics about crime in Washington. Since Aug. 11, 800 National Guard troops have been deployed, with several hundred more on the way, along with the FBI, Homeland Security, Park Police, and the U.S. Marshals.

“In just 7 days, robberies are down 46%. The men and women of DHS are on the ground —removing drug dealers, gang members, and criminal aliens,” she wrote in the caption of her post. Several news outlets, however, contest those claims, reporting that D.C.’s crime rate has been declining since 2023 (and even earlier), and many small business owners claim the takeover is killing the local economy.

“Nothing says beautiful like armed guards roaming the streets that have the lowest crime rate in 30 years,” wrote one on Instagram. “Manufactured crisis. How’s our tourism doing??”

‘MAGA Can’t Handle It’: Folks in Stitches After Gavin Newsom Nicknames Karoline Leavitt, Donald Trump Jumps In With a Desperate Nickname Reminder

Fri, 08/22/2025 - 12:14

After days of absorbing California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s masterclass in presidential-style social media mockery, Donald Trump finally cracked as he fired back with an old nickname for Newsom.

Interestingly, it wasn’t the jabs at his policies or personal life that pushed the president over the edge, but rather Newsom’s decision to drag White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt into their digital warfare and revive a particularly creative moniker.

The escalating feud between the two political heavyweights has been building for months, with Newsom adopting Trump’s all-caps posting style to mock the president across various platforms. The California governor has systematically borrowed Trump’s most recognizable social media mannerisms, from the excessive capitalization to the dramatic proclamations and self-aggrandizing declarations.

An example is when Newsom’s office wrote, in Trump-style: “DONNIE J. AND KaroLYIN’ LEAVITT WILL HAVE THEIR (LITTLE) HANDS ‘FULL’ TODAY. WHOOPS. I, GAVIN CHRISTOPHER NEWSOM, AMERICA’S FAVORITE GOVERNOR (MANY SAY), WILL HOST THE GREATEST PRESS CONFERENCE OF ALL TIME.”

Trump is known for giving obnoxious nicknames for his rivals or people he perceives as a “threat,” according to CBS. During a February 2024 speech for his presidential campaign, he referred to Gov. Gavin Newsom as “Newscum,” and criticized the governor’s handling of the southern border.

The moniker joins Trump’s infamous arsenal of digs over the years, including “Little Marco” for Marco Rubio, “Pocahontas” for Elizabeth Warren, and “Sleepy” Joe Biden.

After repeated provocative posts targeting everything from the president’s policies to his personality, Newsom crossed what appears to have been an invisible line by creating a moniker for Leavitt.

During a dispute over federal funding cuts to UCLA, Newsom’s press office challenged the 27-year-old press secretary after she promised to provide evidence supporting the administration’s actions.

“24 hours later and KaroLYING Leavitt still hasn’t sent the ‘evidence’ she promised to send. These people are LIARS!” Newsom wrote, marking the beginning of his targeted attacks on the press secretary.

Trump’s response came characteristically through a late-night Truth Social post, where he fired back with his own nickname for the California governor.

“Gavin Newscum is way down in the polls,” Trump posted Wednesday evening. “He is viewed as the man who is destroying the once Great State of California. I will save California!!!”

The public response to Trump’s latest clapback has been swift and pointed, with many social media users laughing at the president for losing his composure after maintaining silence for so long.

When the Daily Beast posted on Facebook, the president’s critics noted that Newsom’s strategy has finally gotten under Trump’s skin, with one commenter noting, “He can dish it out but he sure can’t take it!”

Another person said, “Aww..man-baby can’t take being trolled? Suck it up, snowflake!”

Others have characterized the exchange as revealing Trump’s inability to handle his own tactics being used against him.

One said, “Well if Trump don’t like jokes being made about him, then maybe his dumb—s should stop being a world stage JOKE.”

Another added, “He’s a child, of course he would be bothered.”

Social media users have particularly enjoyed pointing out the apparent role reversal, with another observer writing, “Newsom is just holding a mirror up to him and maga can’t handle it.”

Behavioral experts have long pointed to Trump’s interpersonal style as indicative of bullying tendencies, with some analysts even citing his aggressive handshake technique as a method of establishing dominance in personal interactions.

The irony has not been lost on observers that Trump, often criticized for his own confrontational approach, appears rattled by Newsom’s mocking of him.

Newsom’s response to Trump’s nickname insult was characteristically brief but pointed. “Triggered?” he wrote on X, in response to Trump’s Truth Social rant.

The California governor has made no secret of his intentional mimicry of Trump’s social media style, explaining his approach as a deliberate attempt to highlight presidential behavior he considers inappropriate.

Mimicking Trump’s brash online tone, Newsom says it’s a calculated move to spotlight what he calls “unpresidential behavior.”

The bold tactic is turning heads and considering his latest post, it seems to be working. With no signs of slowing down, this war of words between the two heavyweights is gaining steam, fueling speculation and setting the stage for a long, fiery showdown.

In addition to Newsom’s nickname for Leavitt, Trump himself gave her another nickname weeks earlier during a conference at the White House.

“Where’s Karoline? Where’s my superstar? Karoline, is Karoline in the back? Where’s Karoline? Come here, Karoline. Come here, Karoline. Come here,” he called out, requesting she come forward near the podium in the James S. Brady Press Briefing Room.

.@POTUS "Where's @karolineleavitt? Where's my superstar? Is this the largest crowd that you’ve ever seen?"

Karoline: "Yes… I think all of you would agree, it’s why we need to build a ballroom."

Reporter: "Can we build a big beautiful briefing room?"

POTUS: "No. I don't want… pic.twitter.com/TQ9Ev6h5n5

‘Wrong!’: MAGA World Explodes on Letitia James After Appeals Court Tosses Trump’s Massive Fraud Penalty—But They Still Somehow Missed the One Thing That Mattered Most

Thu, 08/21/2025 - 21:15

President Donald Trump and the MAGA sphere are gleefully celebrating a New York appeals court ruling tossing out a massive multi-million-dollar civil fraud penalty against the President in a case brought by New York Attorney General Letitia James.

A sharply divided five-judge panel of the Appellate Division in Manhattan narrowly upheld Justice Arthur Engoron’s decision that Trump engaged in fraud by inflating his wealth for decades, according to The Associated Press, but they called the original $315 million fine “excessive” and one “that violates the Eighth Amendment of the United States Constitution.”

A judge ruled that former President Donald Trump (left) committed fraud by inflating the net worth of several of his assets as part of the civil case brought against him by New York Attorney General Letitia James (right). (Getty)

“While the injunctive relief ordered by the court is well crafted to curb defendants’ business culture, the court’s disgorgement order, which directs that defendants pay nearly half a billion dollars to the State of New York, is an excessive fine that violates the Eighth Amendment of the United States Constitution,” two of the five judges wrote in in one of three opinions issued by the panel.

But the excessive fine is about the only thing all the justices agreed on.

The $315 million penalty had ballooned to $515 million with interest, and with other penalties against several Trump Organization executives and Don Jr. and Eric Trump, the total is around $527 million.

The ruling means Trump won’t have to pay the potential half-billion-dollar fine, but it still prevents him and his sons, Don Jr. and Eric Trump from running the business for a few years.

James said in a statement that the state still won a partial victory because the court had “affirmed the well-supported finding of the trial court: Donald Trump, his company, and two of his children are liable for fraud.”

No no.. still a felon and for that matter a proven sexual assaulter.. aka Rapist.

— Non Frump (@DLTOREM) August 21, 2025

“It should not be lost to history: yet another court has ruled that the president violated the law, and that our case has merit,” James said.

Trump, meantime was of course claiming “total victory” in a post on social media.

“TOTAL VICTORY in the FAKE New York State Attorney General Letitia James Case!” Trump boasted.

“I greatly respect the fact that the Court had the Courage to throw out this unlawful and disgraceful Decision that was hurting Business all throughout New York State. Others were afraid to do business there,” Trump bragged, but the court did not throw out the decision just the huge penalty.

The ruling is definitely a disappointment for Trump opponents and James who brought the civil fraud lawsuit against Trump, his two oldest sons and former Trump Organization chief financial officer Allen Weisselberg in 2022. Weisselberg separately pleaded guilty in two criminal cases, one for charges of tax fraud in connection with his employment and another for perjury in his testimony in James’ civil case against the Trump Organization.

Trump’s MAGA supporters erupted in joy over the ruling, claiming it exonerated their dear leader from wrongdoing, which it did not, and laid into James.

“Oops,” Bryan Hammond elatedly posted on X with a photo of James dressed in orange prison garb.

“A New York court, with justice stern, Gave ‘ol big Tish a nice slick burn, Trump won again, a massive feat, Tables turned, her loss complete!” this poetic Trump supporter bragged on X.

“Guess they can’t keep calling him a felon,” someone erroneously posted on X.

“Different case,” another user responded. Another quickly added, “Wrong!”

But there’s so many civil and criminal cases against Trump, it’s hard to keep them straight.

“This was about the civil fraud case regarding Trump allegedly receiving better loan terms from overvaluing his properties. The 34 felony case still stands. For now,” still another X user corrected.

“Note, the fines were found to be excessive for that I agree. He was not absolved of the charges laid,” Island Girl pointed out on X.

“No no.. still a felon and for that matter a proven sexual assaulter.. aka Rapist,” this X poster said.

The steep penalty against Trump and his sons ordered by Engoron came after a three-month non-jury trial in state court in Manhattan.

As part of the appeal, Trump claimed he did nothing wrong. His attorneys contended the judge had overreached and that the penalty was too high.

The state can still appeal this ruling to New York State Appeals Court, but it’s unclear if it will.

‘He Looks Awful!’: Disgraced ‘Today’ Show Anchor Matt Lauer Stuns With Unrecognizable New Look

Thu, 08/21/2025 - 19:44

Matt Lauer has been out of the public eye for almost a decade now, but when photographer Elder Ordonez captured him during a recent dinner outing in Sag Harbor, New York, and shared the image on Instagram, social media couldn’t help but take notice.

The former “Today” show co-anchor, who once commanded morning television with his polished presence and trustworthy demeanor, appeared dramatically different from the clean-cut professional viewers remembered from his 21-year tenure on one of television’s most prominent platforms.

Matt Lauer’s dramatic physical transformation since leaving the Today show has left social media users shocked and barely able to recognize the former anchor. (Photo: Richard Drew, AP File)

The photograph, posted on Wednesday, Aug. 20, showed a 67-year-old Lauer looking “calm and relaxed” according to Ordonez’s caption, but it was his transformed appearance that sent shockwaves through social media. The man who had built his career on maintaining an impeccable image now looked worlds away from the meticulously groomed television personality America once knew and trusted.

Rocking a bald head-style, he wore a black and white, oddly patterned shirt, with white skinny jeans. He finished the look with all white sneakers and ankle socks.

Ordonez’s followers were quick to express their surprise at Lauer’s changed appearance.

“Omg. Would never recognize him,” one person wrote, capturing the sentiment of many who viewed the photograph.

Another observer noted bluntly, “He looks awful! So aged!”

The reactions continued to pour in, with one particularly colorful comment stating, “He looks like he belongs on an old, discarded deck of cards.”

A fourth commenter reflected on the passage of time itself, writing, “And, looking very old. Time has not been kind to Matt Lauer.”

During his broadcasting heyday, Lauer was the epitome of television professionalism.

His signature look was carefully curated and consistently maintained throughout his decades on air. He favored crisp white or light blue dress shirts that were always perfectly pressed and fitted. His suits were invariably tailored to perfection, typically in conservative shades like navy, charcoal, or gray that projected authority and trustworthiness. The silk ties he selected were understated yet sophisticated, featuring subtle patterns such as stripes, dots, or geometric designs that complemented rather than competed with his overall aesthetic.

Perhaps most notably, toward the end of time on air, Lauer’s salt-and-pepper hair was always immaculately groomed. Even as he aged gracefully on television, his hair remained trimmed short and styled with precision that spoke to his attention to detail. This wasn’t just vanity — it was part of his professional brand.

Every morning, before his fall, millions of Americans invited him into their homes, and his polished appearance was integral to the trust and reliability he projected as a news anchor.

The contrast between that carefully maintained television persona and the man captured in Ordonez’s recent photograph is striking.

This dramatic shift in his presentation reflects a man who has stepped away entirely from the spotlight that once demanded such careful attention to image. The Lauer seen in Sag Harbor appears to have embraced a more casual, perhaps more authentic version of himself— one that doesn’t require the daily grooming rituals and wardrobe considerations that defined his television career.

Today, sources, according to People, reveal that Lauer lives a quieter life, maintaining relationships with his three children and girlfriend Shamin Abas, whom he began dating in 2019. He sold his Hamptons home last year, choosing to spend more time at his New Zealand farm property, where he finds peace.

Recently, former CNN anchor Don Lemon suggested during a podcast interview that the public might welcome Lauer’s return to television, noting that when they’re out together, “everybody loves Matt and everybody flocks to Matt.”

However, whether Lauer has any interest in returning to the spotlight — and the grooming standards it would require — remains to be seen.

‘Don’t Touch Me’: Michelle Obama Says Raising Girls Wasn’t Easy as Barack Had the Toughest Time With One Daughter’s Personality

Thu, 08/21/2025 - 19:33

Michelle Obama is revealing details about the inner workings of raising two daughters with the former president Barack Obama Obama and it hasn’t been easy to say the least.

On the Aug. 20 episode of her “IMO” podcast, the former first lady and her brother, Craig Robinson, were joined by married couple Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union to discuss raising children with different temperaments.

Michelle Obama reveals which daughter gave Barack Obama a harder time in the White House. (Photo: @barackobama/Twitter)

The former first lady gave an example using her own children and explained how Barack found it more “difficult” raising one daughter than the other.

“When it comes to our oldest, Malia, she is going to figure out who you are, what are you like and let’s discuss. Right?” Michelle said about their oldest daughter, Malia Obama.

She said it’s “unusual” for a young lady growing up but claimed the 27-year-old has “always been that way.”

To further explain her daughter’s personality, she thought back to a moment that took place in the White House during Barack’s presidency.

“When Malia was a teenager,” she said, “it wasn’t that she was going out any less or doing anything differently. She would tell me, ‘I’m going out this weekend, but I’m going to go in and give dad like 15 minutes.’”

“She’d go into the Treaty Room and be like, ‘Tell me about Syria,’” Michelle said and briskly mimicked how Malia would be engaged in the conversation. “And then she’d be like ‘Ok, well I’m gone.”

Michelle said Barack would have a proud reaction and re-enacted him walking out of the room with his chest puffed out before saying, “I just had an amazing conversation with Malia.”

It’s a polar opposite to their youngest daughter, Sasha Obama

“Sasha is like a cat,” Michelle shared. “She’s like don’t touch me, don’t pet me. I’m not pleasing you. You come to me.”

She said Barack considered Sasha to be more “difficult” than her sister, but she offered a different perspective to her husband of nearly 33 years.

“The first one is a pleaser. It’s just temperamentally they are still like that,” Michelle added.

She explained that one has “to be a chameleon” to understand different temperaments.

“But some people parent to one child or one personality child, but then you have three,” she added.

One person in The Daily Mail comments responded, “So Sasha was a normal teenager and Malia was unusually perceptive and mature. Nothing wrong with that revelation and her honesty is refreshing.”

On Page Six another said, “I love both President and Mrs. Obama and I admire them and their relationship and they are right about children.  They are two individuals and you can’t treat them the same, because they are two separate individuals with different personalities.”

The foursome seem to be a tight-knit family now, even though Michelle has described the sisters as going through a phase of sibling tension.

While speaking to Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush on “Today” in 2022, Michelle revealed that her two girls didn’t always get along with each other.

She said she told them, “There was a period of time when they couldn’t stand each other, and I said, ‘You wait, you are going to wake up one day and you’re going to look over at that other person, and you’re going to know that you two share something very unique,’ especially given what they’ve been through.”

The mama bear confirmed that they finally reached that place and are now “each other’s best friends.”

As for raising them period, that was no walk in the park for Michelle and Barack, especially in the years of 2009 and 2017, when Barack was president. They found it difficult because they wanted to maintain some sense of normalcy for their daughters.

“When your kids are under the security of the Secret Service, you almost have to work twice as hard to make their life normal. Imagine setting up the first play date with the first time the kids get invited to a play date. The process of having my children at your house meant that an advanced team had to come and question and search your house and ask if you had drugs and guns.” she said in April on “Let’s Talk Off Camera with Kelly Ripa.”

She said it was even harder when Sasha, 24, and Malia got to be young adults. At that age, they wanted to do what many other people their age might do which is party, drink and smoke.

Michelle said, “We had to work to make sure that them being regular teenagers didn’t wind up on Page Six. So it was a lot of work.”

‘Is He 2 Years Old?’: Donald Trump’s Inspirational Message Takes an Unexpected Turn After He’s Interrupted Mid-Sentence

Thu, 08/21/2025 - 11:30

Donald Trump‘s explosive reaction after being interrupted mid-sentence has resurfaced on social media, showcasing his theatrical demands and unpredictable temperament that mirror his current leadership style as president.

The incident unfolded during what should have been a routine Sunday afternoon event in Atlanta.

As Trump addressed his supporters on February 21, 2016, the lights flickered on and off, and the once-warm glow shifted to a sharp brightness.

Trump grew uneasy in the brighter lights.

“No! Get those lights off! Off! They’re too bright, turn them off!” he shouted at the event personnel.

When an Instagram clip of the interaction gained renewed attention, social media users were quick to criticize Trump’s behavior.

Many shared hundreds of laughing emojis, in disbelief at Trump for throwing a “tantrum” like a toddler, including one who asked, “Is he 2 years old?”

“Trump is such an embarrassment!!! He wants the lights off so his face doesn’t melt,” said a second person, while another asked, “Why is he shouting? I see [the] microphone in front of him.”

A few individuals suggested someone “Turn off the microphone,” though many preferred to just “Turn off Trump.”

What happened next revealed Trump’s demanding personality in full display, demonstrating the theatrical nature that would become his political trademark. When the lights returned moments later, he began waving his arms frantically and initiated what became an impromptu chant with his supporters.

“Let’s go, ready, turn off the lights. Turn off the lights,” shouted “The Apprentice” boss to the crowd.

They joined in as Trump turned a lighting issue into a spectacle of control, while seizing the moment as an opportunity to criticize the media covering his event.

“They didn’t pay the electric bill,” the former reality television star announced to his supporters with characteristic confidence. “Oh, I like that much better. That’s so much better. Those lights were brutal. Are they coming from the dishonest press?”

Treating the technical crew like his personal staff, Trump pressured the venue workers until they finally dimmed the lights to his liking. Basking in the crowd’s applause, he turned the moment into part of his presidential pitch, quipping, “And because the lights didn’t work, I won’t pay the rent…”

Adding another layer to the unusual episode, Trump later claimed without providing any evidence that a protester had deliberately caused the lighting malfunction.

“They just told me it was the protester that turned the lights off,” he informed his supporters.

Trump’s lighting outburst wasn’t isolated in his 2016 campaign.

Weeks earlier in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, on caucus day, he made inflammatory promises to cover legal fees for supporters who attacked protesters, underscoring the confrontational tone that defined his controversial run.

“If you see somebody getting ready to throw a tomato, knock the crap out of them, would you? Seriously, OK? Just knock the hell… I promise you I will pay for the legal fees. I promise, I promise,” Trump had declared on Feb. 1, 2016, setting a tone of aggression that would characterize many of his rallies.

This pattern of rhetoric continued throughout his other campaign appearances. At a Las Vegas rally later that month, Trump criticized security personnel for being too gentle with a protester, saying, “He’s walking out with big high-fives, smiling, laughing. I’d like to punch him in the face, I’ll tell you.”

Similar incidents occurred in Warren, Michigan, where he told supporters, “Get him out. Try not to hurt him. If you do, I’ll defend you in court. Don’t worry about it.”

Trump’s behavior extended beyond campaign rallies to diplomatic stages, where his notorious handshake tactics gained global attention.

Psychology professor Geoff Beattie of Edge Hill University analyzed how Trump weaponized handshakes to assert dominance and gain a psychological advantage over world leaders.

The resurfaced Atlanta lighting incident adds to the ongoing discussion of Trump’s temperament and leadership style, underscoring the theatrical and confrontational tactics that deeply influenced his unorthodox approach to the presidency from the start.
