‘That J.LO Glow Is Long Gone’: Ben Affleck’s Fresh New Look Has Fans Saying He Looks ‘A Million Times Better’ After His Split from Jennifer Lopez
Ben Affleck has surprised fans with a dramatic makeover months after his breakup with Jennifer Lopez, this time opting for a completely clean-shaven look that has social media buzzing about the actor’s post-divorce glow.
According to the Daily Mail, the 52-year-old Oscar winner was spotted around Los Angeles sporting a fresh face, having shed the scruffy beard that became his signature style during the tumultuous months surrounding his split from his ex-wife.

(Photo by Lionel Hahn/WireImage)The timing of Affleck’s makeover appears strategic, coinciding with his recent production of “Kiss Of The Spider Woman,” which also stars his ex-wife as lead.
They were separated for two months before Lopez filed for divorce on their two-year anniversary in August 2024. The divorce was finalized earlier this year.
Affleck’s appearance marks a stark contrast to the disheveled look he carried throughout much of last year, when paparazzi frequently captured him looking worn down by the public scrutiny surrounding his marriage troubles and eventual divorce proceedings from his former spouse.
Interestingly, Affleck’s style evolution also coincided with some professional disappointments.
The Daily Mail noted that “The Accountant 2” star failed to make AARP’s “Hottest Actors Over 50” list, while his longtime friend and collaborator Matt Damon successfully earned a spot. The snub might have provided additional motivation for his image refresh, though sources close to the actor suggest his appearance changes are more directly related to his film projects than any personal vanity concerns.
The publication’s readers were quick to weigh in on the transformation, wondering if it could be about him not being on the list.
“Yeah that was definitely why he shaved,” one person firmly stated, as another said, “That JLO glow is long gone that’s why he didn’t make the list.”
A third hinted, “Ben Affleck sullied his réputation by marrying Jlo.”
A few people stated that they didn’t like beards on any men, not just the celebrity.
Another wrote, “I don’t like beards on most men, but I think if older guys wear them they should trim them neatly and color out the white hairs. Makes the beards look sloppy.”
A more positive commentator said, “He looks a million times better without it.”
Affleck’s clean-shaven look comes after what can only be described as a year of varied style experiments for the Cambridge native following his breakup with the Bronx bombshell.
Back in April 2025, he shocked attendees at CinemaCon in Las Vegas when he appeared with noticeably darker hair and beard, having apparently dyed his signature salt-and-pepper hair to a rich brown shade. The transformation was so striking that some people speculated about potential midlife crisis motivations, especially given that it occurred just one week after his candid GQ interview about his divorce from his ex.

— GQ Magazine (@GQMagazine) March 25, 2025Critics weren’t particularly kind about his dyed hair experiment, with many suggesting the dramatic color change appeared forced and unnatural.
The backlash could have influenced his decision to eventually abandon the artificially darkened look in favor of his current clean-shaven appearance.
Throughout 2024, Affleck’s appearance became a visual timeline of his emotional state during the divorce proceedings with Lopez. Photographers regularly captured him looking disheveled, with an unkempt beard and casual clothing that suggested he was prioritizing comfort over style.
The “Gigli” star has even been snapped while walking with JLo, as people zeroed in on how unhappy he looked with her. His weight also fluctuated noticeably during this period, with some fans expressing concern about his overall health and well-being due to his past with alcohol as he navigated the end of his second high-profile marriage.

Affleck was previously married to his “Daredevil” co-star Jennifer Garner. The former couple married in 2005 and welcomed three children before revealing their split in 2015. He now appears revitalized, sporting coordinated outfits and carrying himself with renewed confidence.
The newly clean-shaven Ben Affleck seems poised for a fresh start, turning his focus toward work over past heartbreak. With projects like “The Accountant 2” and ventures through his production company, Affleck’s transformation reflects more than just a shave—it signals a personal and professional reinvention.
‘This Must Not Be Overlooked’: Trump’s Desperate Ploy to Throw Clinton Under the Bus Derails As Everyone Got Distracted By One Alarming Detail
President Donald Trump’s Oval Office announcement about the World Cup was supposed to be routine, but it quickly went off the rails. When reporters pressed him on releasing the files, Trump deflected by dragging Bill Clinton back into the spotlight, repeating his well-worn claim that the former president flew to the island “28 times.”
But even that tired line wasn’t what had people talking. The viral moment took a left turn as viewers fixated on Trump himself — and one alarming detail that social media couldn’t stop buzzing about.
Trump speaks with reporters in the Oval Office. (Credit: White House Video Screengrab)“The Justice Department is also sending some of the Epstein files over to the House Oversight Committee today, are you OK with them releasing all of them?” a reporter asked.
“Innocent people shouldn’t be hurt,” Trump said. “But I’m in support of keeping it totally open. I couldn’t care less. You got a lot of people that could be mentioned in those files that don’t deserve to be … ’cause he knew everyone in Palm Beach. I don’t know anything about it, but I have said to [Attorney General] Pam [Bondi] and everyone else, give them everything … the whole thing is a Democrat hoax.”
Trump made a slight pivot to say Democrats are only using the Epstein scandal to distract from his administration having the “greatest six months in the history of the presidency.”
“Bill Clinton was on his plane … went to the island supposedly 28 times,” he continued, insisting he doesn’t “want to bring that up, frankly.”
“You have [former Harvard president and secretary of the Treasury] Larry … Summers, who was Jeffrey Epstein’s best friend. But I don’t want to hurt Larry Summers.”
Apart from his usual rambling, Trump was visibly struggling to keep his eyes open. Viewers took notice and couldn’t get enough. Some even took screenshots to get a close-up shot.
Close up shot of Trump struggling to keep his eyes open during Oval Office annoucement. (Credit: White House Screengrab)One user wrote on Threads, “He looks like he is about to collapse or fall asleep standing. Biden never looked this bad and we never heard the end of it from the media. Still hear it to this day.” Others speculated Trump may have congestive heart failure that’s progressing rapidly. While others asked, “what’s wrong with him?”
Another doubled down, “Notice he keeps closing his eyes for extended periods of time.”
“Why is his right eye and side of face drooping?” one user asked with no hint of sarcasm.
Trump’s physical state wasn’t the only detail that grabbed viewers attention away from his message.
The big red hat drew its own outrage. One viewer noted strongly, “This point must not be overlooked: The current US President is standing in our Oval Office, wearing a big red hat that refers to himself in the third person, with a giant slogan that is the most arrogant and fictitious lie ever…about himself. Idiocracy.”
Another added, “this man has to have a mental disability there’s no way.”
The fight over the Epstein files has been entwined with Trump’s own efforts to distance himself from the case while casting suspicion on former President Clinton.
But social media critics made it clear they weren’t falling for Trump’s turn of hand to claim he doesn’t want “innocent people” to get hurt.
“Why does no one ever tell Trump to his face that he is lying and he doesn’t fool anybody? How is he allowed to carry on so obviously making up stuff?” wrote another.
View on ThreadsTrump’s supposed concern for people getting hurt if the files were released was turned into satire online. A parody social media post appeared on Facebook and quickly viral. The post was an apparent screenshot intended to appear as from Trump’s Truth Social account however the actual handle was “@realDotardTrump” and the account name was Donald J. Turmp.
The image was posted on August 25, 2025 with the caption “That’s right I am not releasing the Epstein files because I want to protect Bill Clinton.”
The text inside the image read: “We are not going to release the Epstein files because I want to protect a lot of innocent people in there like BILL CLINTON. Now that you know the real reason I am sure no one will ever ask to see the Epstein files again, which include physical evidence taken from his properties, digital information and victim testimonies, NO ONE WILL EVER ASK FOR THE FILES AGAIN. THIS IS A DEMOCRAT HOAX. Thank you for your attention to this matter.”
The renewed fixation on Epstein’s sex trafficking network comes as the House Oversight Committee escalates its own search for records.
On Monday, the House Oversight Committee subpoenaed the estate of Jeffrey Epstein for a wide range of documents, including a leather-bound birthday book that allegedly contains a handwritten message from Donald Trump.
The request, signed on Aug. 25 by Chairman James Comer, seeks Epstein’s will, disclosure agreements, financial transactions, and the 2007 nonprosecution agreement with federal prosecutors in Florida, along with visitor logs, phone records, and any papers that could be construed as a “client list.”
Comer, a Kentucky Republican, wrote to lawyers for the estate that the committee understands Epstein’s files are in their custody and that they are prepared to turn them over.
The first item on the subpoena is the birthday book, which Ghislaine Maxwell is said to have compiled for Epstein’s 50th birthday. Trump has denied reports in The Wall Street Journal that he contributed a risqué note to the book, calling the paper’s account “fake,” filing a defamation lawsuit, and insisting that “these are not my words, not the way I talk. Also, I don’t draw pictures.”
“It is our understanding that the Estate of Jeffrey Epstein is in custody and control of documents that may further the Committee’s investigation and legislative goals,” Comer wrote to the estate’s lawyers, stressing that they had signaled willingness to cooperate. The subpoena followed a first tranche of files delivered by the Justice Department on Aug. 22.
Yet Democrats on the panel say that delivery fell flat. Rep. Robert Garcia of California said Saturday that 97 percent of the 33,295 pages DOJ provided had already been released by other agencies, including video of Epstein’s final hours at Manhattan’s Metropolitan Correctional Center and filings from Maxwell’s trial.
The only fresh information, Garcia said, were fewer than 1,000 pages of Customs and Border Protection logs detailing Epstein’s plane movements from 2000 to 2014. “There is no excuse for incomplete disclosures,” he said. “Survivors and the American public deserve the truth.”
Republicans countered that the material was only the first installment and that more documents would follow.
A Justice Department spokesman said the department had already provided more than Democrats ever asked for when they controlled the panel, while stressing that officials were still working to shield the identities of crime victims.
Comer himself praised the Justice Department for moving quickly, even as Democrats and some Republicans pressed for broader transparency.
Democratic Rep. Ro Khanna of California and Kentucky Republican Rep. Thomas Massie are preparing a bipartisan maneuver to force a vote requiring the department to release the files publicly. “Less than 1 percent of files have been released,” Khanna said. “DOJ is stonewalling. The survivors deserve justice and the public deserves transparency.”
The wrangling over documents has run parallel to Trump’s increasingly erratic attempts to distance himself from his past friendship with Epstein while at the same time accusing Clinton of far deeper entanglements.
Trump has repeatedly claimed, without evidence, that Clinton visited Epstein’s private island in the U.S. Virgin Islands 28 times.
“He has never been to Little St. James Island,” Clinton’s office said in 2019.
Flight logs, however, show Clinton traveled on Epstein’s jets 26 times during six international trips in 2002 and 2003, but they contain no evidence he ever visited the island. Trump, for his part, appeared in flight logs too, taking at least seven flights with Epstein in the 1990s, though again with no indication he traveled to the island.
‘You Know, F–k You All!’: Donald Trump Fan Stops Her Car to Lecture D.C. Protesters With Racist Tirade. It Didn’t Go Well.
A white Trump supporter randomly pulled her car over to scream “Black people are killing Black people!” at a protest staged by political activists in Washington, D.C.
What she didn’t bargain for was that one member of the group was Russell Ellis, also known as Jolly Good Ginger, a wildly popular internet personality with millions of followers on social media.
A screen grab of a woman yelling at protesters. (Photo: Threads/ Jolly_Good_Ginger )Wagging her finger and yelling out of her passenger-side window, the MAGA member seemed to come unglued upon seeing the group flying upside-down flags as an act of protest.
“We told her that this country is in distress because we have a military occupation,” explained Jolly Good Ginger in the now-viral video, referring to the federal takeover of Washington, D.C. The massive surge in federal law enforcement, including the National Guard and ICE, started on August 7 to fight crime, but many residents say they are now “living in fear,” D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser recently noted.
View on ThreadsIn the video, the woman blocked a city busway with her car to loudly and aggressively school the protestors on the D.C. takeover: “He is saving lives! Donald Trump is saving life by using the… National Guard to save Black people. Black people are killing Black people, ok?”
At this point, laughter erupted off-camera from the group whom Ellis identified as all military veterans. Ellis is an Army veteran himself and a self-described reformed racist. He noted that the frazzled woman spewed the “N-word” once he stopped filming.
View this post on InstagramA post shared by Jolly_Good_Ginger (@jolly_good_ginger)
One of the protestors cited the Posse Comitatus Act, which bars the military from participating in civilian law enforcement, with rare exceptions (such as a genuine rebellion). California Gov. Gavin Newsom is currently suing Trump and Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth under this act for deploying National Guard and Marines to Los Angeles during the ICE protests earlier this year.
But that knowledge fell on deaf ears as the woman continued to argue, her small dog by her side. Many observers couldn’t help but notice the dog looked completely nonplussed. “Poor pup! Probably tired of her nonsense!” said one on Threads.
View on ThreadsBut the confrontation wasn’t over just yet. Soon after, she hopped out of her car and flipped off all the veterans gathered there. As she walked back and forth in the street, she bellowed, “You know, f-ck you all.”
Ellis debriefed his viewers in the caption to his August 25 post, writing, “This lady randomly stopped and went full racist. After I stopped recording, she yelled the n-word harder out of the car as she drove off.”
“There’s no universe where I can take someone like this seriously. None,” replied one person on Threads. Over on Instagram, another said, “Nothing more humiliating than an old white woman lecturing about what Black people need. We have so much work to do.”
‘She Looks 48’: Karoline Leavitt’s Beach Look In New Family Photos with Husband and Their Son Has Fans Zooming In
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt celebrating her birthday by sharing pictures of her family on social media had her haters in a frenzy.
Leavitt turned 28 on Aug. 24. On that date, she posted a three-photo carousel on Instagram with her 60-year-old husband, Nicholas Riccio, and her 1-year-old son, Nicholas “Niko” Riccio.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt‘s birthday post was overtaken by commenters trolling her looks. (Photo: Anna Moneymaker/Getty Images)Her first image featured the Republican party member and baby Niko on a beach. Leavitt had on a long, mesh top. Riccio joined his wife and child in the second photograph.
In the second slide, Leavitt wore a tank top that showed off her arms and bosom. One of her followers commented, “So accomplished at such a young age. You make us so proud.”
Leavitt was showered with support in the comments section, but the intended celebratory mood was dampened when some people focused on her appearance and alleged cosmetic enhancements.

For instance, one person wrote, “Happy birthday! Another year of getting all that filler and still no top lip in sight!” A similar response read, “What a rough 28 and not a lip in sight.”
“This has to be a typo. She looks 48. Wow,” a third commenter suggested about the New Hampshire native. Likewise, another Leavitt critic joked, “28 going on 50.”
Leavitt’s age has been a topic of conversation for months because of the age gap between the Saint Anselm College graduate and her spouse.
Riccio first met his future-wife in 2022 when Leavitt was a 25-year-old congressional candidate in New Hampshire. They got engaged during the Christmas holidays in December 2023.

Niko arrived on July 10, 2024. Leavitt and Riccio tied the knot in January 2025, just days before Donald Trump was inaugurated as president for a second time on Jan. 20.
“Of course. It’s a very atypical love story, but he’s incredible. He is my greatest supporter. He’s my best friend. He’s my rock,” Leavitt said about Riccio during an interview with conservative pundit Megyn Kelly.
Leavitt has also been repeatedly targeted online and the media. In particular, trolls enjoy making fun of the youngest press secretary in American history’s makeup choices like her lipstick application.
Even the creators of “South Park” mocked Leavitt on the season 27 premiere of the animated sitcom. The July 23-dated episode titled “Sermon on the ‘Mount” portrayed the White House insider as a simpleminded lackey for Trump.
‘The Food High as Hell’: Pinky Cole’s Slick Reply to Lawsuit Backfires as Fans Call Out Slutty Vegan’s Prices
Slutty Vegan owner Pinky Cole is unbothered after recent headlines revealed that she’s being sued for nearly $90,000.
On Aug. 27, the company used its Instagram platform to throw a jab at the landlord who filed the lawsuit against Cole, over allegations of unpaid rent. The mocking response hints that the entrepreneur isn’t worried despite recently coming back from a financial setback that led to her temporarily losing the company.
DALLAS, TEXAS – MAY 20: Aisha Pinky Cole poses for picture during the Dallas Grand Opening Party of the first Texas brick-and-mortar Slutty Vegan restaurant in Deep Ellum at Slutty Vegan Dallas on May 20, 2023 in Dallas, Texas. (Photo by Omar Vega/Getty Images)The post featured several slides, each showing a screenshot of a text starting with the same message.
“Big Head..Come buy a burger so we can pay this rent,” it reads. Added at the end were emojis that included a disoriented emoji, eye roll emoji, an emoji smiling with its tongue sticking out and finally a burger emoji.
But in each screenshot, the response was different, suggesting the message was sent out to several people. Every response shown in the texts had a playful tone.
For instance, one person wrote, “Lmaoooooo. I love this level of trolling.”
Someone else who seemed to be an entrepreneur as well texted, “Come get a facial so I can pay this rent.”
The company continued on with the joke in the caption.

“Hey big head. Thank you for checking on us,” Slutty Vegan said. “Lawsuits from old [company] won’t let us be great. But the show MUST go on.”
Fans shared mixed reviews in the comments of The Neighborhood Talk’s post.
One person questioned, “Why the rent ain’t paid though? The food high as hell. Shouldn’t be no late rent fr.”
Someone else with the same sentiments said, “Girl pay your rent. Ain’t nothing cute about not paying rent. That could be someone’s livelihood.”
The lawsuit, which was filed last week by Asana Partners LLC at the Fulton County state court, alleges that Cole failed to make payment for the rent of two of her properties on Edgewood Avenue: Slutty Vegan and The Morning After.
With rent around $40,000 per property and added fees, the landlord is demanding a total of $87,000.
The lawsuit states, “As a result of Tenant’s breach of the Leases for failure to pay rent and other monetary charges due, Landlord has suffered damages in an amount to be proven at trial, but in no event less than the total sum $87,312.65, exclusive of late fees and interest, plus additional rent and other charges that accrue under the Leases at the rate of $13,665.34 per month, subject to regularly scheduled adjustments reflected in the Leases.”
Pinky Cole sold Slutty Vegan to venture capitalist so she wouldn’t have to pay the wage theft lawsuit then sold a lie about “losing” the business. Now she owns it again and still hasn’t paid those people https://t.co/XB4afZstFl
— Nia (@_niaspeaks) May 31, 2025This financial affair is coming at the heels of Cole’s other economic hardship earlier this year. Back in February, Cole gave up ownership of Slutty Vegan after financial distress caused by its corporate overhead reaching $10 million per year, she claimed.
Before the monetary strain occurred, Slutty Vegan started as a food truck in 2018 before it became a $100 million business. It grew rapidly, reportedly opening 14 locations around the nation in Georgia, New York, and Baltimore. But as the monetary issues grew, came the closures of several locations. Now only five are in operation.
To come out of her struggle, Cole gave the company to an assignee, while she worked out a plan to restructure it. By March 28, she bought her company back by doing an assignment for the benefit of creditors.
Now, Cole’s got a new strategy in place for the renovation of her business and she’s calling the strategy “Slutty Vegan 2.0.” She told People there will be “new rules and new intentions” for the franchise with a hard focus on growth and scale.
Giving some insight to what scaling looks like, Cole said, “Global expansion is big for 2.0. We’ve been talking about Dubai and Africa and just really scaling Slutty Vegan beyond the U.S. There’s some great opportunities for other people to get invested in the brand by way of having their own Slutty Vegan, which I’ll be able to share [more about] that in the future.”
‘I Ain’t No Damn Criminal!’: Colorado Police Swarm Sleeping Black Dad With Guns, Taser Him in Front of His Children After He Removed Son from Hospital to Seek Alternative Care
LaDarius Butler had broken no law last year when he and his partner chose to take their 3-year-old child from a Colorado hospital after receiving conflicting medical advice on how to treat his shortness of breath in order to seek another medical opinion elsewhere.
But the Black man ended up tasered, handcuffed, and arrested on a false charge of obstruction, which was later dismissed.
Now the 32-year-old man is suing the Aurora Police Department, a law enforcement agency that is currently under a consent decree due to its “pattern and practice of violating state and federal law through racially biased policing,” according to IntegrAssure, the company overseeing the consent decree.
LaDarius Butler, center, is suing the Aurora Police Department after they arrested him at gunpoint, tasering him after he chose to seek a second medical opinion for his 3-year-old son. (Photo: Body Camera)The lawsuit was filed in May, but body camera video was not released until Wednesday, according to a press release from Mehr Jolly, the Colorado law firm representing Butler.
“This entire incident could have been resolved with a simple phone call,” said attorney Kevin Mehr in the press release.
“Instead, once again the Aurora Police Department chose violence with a SWAT-style ambush that risked the lives of a young father and his two children,” the statement continued.
The Aurora Police Department is the same agency that, in 2019, killed Elijah McClain, a 23-year-old Black man who was doing nothing but walking down the street, minding his own business, when he was confronted by a group of cops who detained him for looking “suspicious.”
It was that incident that led to the Aurora Police Department being placed under a consent decree, which is described as a “means for law enforcement officials in violation to re-align themselves with the honor codes and duties of their profession with the help of the federal government and other parties dedicated to criminal justice,” according to the website Criminal Justice Programs.
The Aurora Police Department ended up settling with McClain’s family for $15 million, a record settlement for Colorado at the time.
But judging by the body camera footage of Butler’s 2024 arrest, the Aurora Police Department has learned nothing from its past mistakes because the video shows a group of cops surrounding Butler, who was sleeping inside his car along with his children in a Walmart parking lot while his partner shopped inside.
“The simple fact is that LaDarius Butler is lucky to be alive,” Mehr stated in the press release.
Watch the video below.
‘Tase Him!’The incident took place on May 22, 2024, after Butler and his partner, Jayla Houston, took their 3-year-old son to Children’s Hospital Colorado for shortness of breath. The child is referred to as “O.B.” in the lawsuit.
But the claim states the parents chose to take the child elsewhere after receiving “conflicting medical advice concerning their son” and “felt pressured by medical staff to subject O.B. to treatments they did not feel were in their son’s best interest.”
Hospital staff called police, providing the officers with Butler’s and Houston’s phone numbers, but rather than call the parents to discuss the situation, police chose to find them down using a tracking device that “pinged” their telephones, leading the cops to the Walmart parking lot.
The cops then began treating Butler as a “high risk” suspect, even though there was no evidence to support that claim, the claim states.
First, the cops used their patrol cars to pin his car from behind and in front while ordering him out of the car at gunpoint, treating him as if he were a violent felon on the run rather than a concerned father looking out for his kids.
“Turn the car off. Throw the keys out!” one cop demanded while pointing his gun toward Butler and hiding behind the open door of his patrol car.
“What are you all doing?” Butler repeatedly asked, knowing he had broken no law. “I ain’t no damn criminal!”
“Step out the car,” another cop ordered.
“I got kids in the car,” Butler said as he exited the car, complying with their orders. “What are you all doing, man?”
Two cops then walked up to him and grabbed him by his wrists while another cop says, “Tase him” — even though he was not resisting.
“Don’t tase me, man!” Butler said seconds before a cop tasered him, causing him to fall to the ground while screaming in pain.
‘I’m Really, Really Hurt!’After tasering Butler, one cop placed his knee on his back while handcuffing him as he repeatedly asked, “What are you all doing to me, man?”
“I’m really, really hurt,” Butler said. “My other daughter is in the car, her mom is in Walmart, man.”
“I don’t have nothing,” he said as they frisked him for weapons.
It was only after they tortured and shackled him that they explained the reason for their actions.
“You guys took the little one from the hospital,” one cop said.
“That’s my child,” Butler responded.
“Ok, but it was in the ICU unit and needed medical treatment, so that’s why we’re doing what we’re doing,” the cop said.
“No, I don’t mind him getting a treatment,” Butler responded. “You all ain’t understanding.”
“We have information that you guys took a kid from the hospital who was in life danger.”
“No, he was not in life danger,” Butler responded.
“That’s why we’re doing what we’re doing, and you weren’t complying with us, dude.”
But the video shows he was complying, but just confused as to why he was jolted awake by armed agents of the state when he was doing nothing illegal.
Listed as defendants in the lawsuit are Aurora police officers Caleb Parrella, Adrian Arce-Cerda, Evan Rider, Michael Baer, Daniel Rubino, Chandler Phillips and Sgt. Anthony Spano.
Parrella was also named in another lawsuit after pulling a Black man out of his car and tasering him over an improper license plate in 2021. Parrella was also investigated and cleared for shooting another man who was the victim of theft after that man pulled a gun on the man who stole his backpack.
The lawsuit accuses the cops of using excessive force, failure to intervene and malicious prosecution.
“Mr. Butler suffered damage as a result of being arrested, taken to jail, criminally charged, and forced to spend almost one year litigating his criminal matter prior to the case being dismissed,” the claim states.
“This caused Mr. Butler anxiety, loss of freedom, wrongful incarceration, and humiliation, among other damages.”
One day after arresting Butler, Aurora police shot and killed another Black man named Kilyn Lewis, who was holding a phone in his hand with his arms raised, complying with their orders, resulting in another lawsuit.
‘Doesn’t Even Look Like You Anymore’: Melissa McCarthy’s Unrecognizable Appearance In New Photos Has Fans Speculating About Her Drastic Weight Loss
Former “Mike and Molly” star Melissa McCarthy has fans stunned with her latest Instagram post showing off her dramatic weight loss transformation.
On Aug. 8, the actress shared a glimpse of her pottery date with her husband, Ben Falcone. The two took a class in Los Angeles with a family-owned business called Wild Clay, and McCarthy gleefully showed off her creations in the post.
But some fans were not so much concerned with their creation as they were with McCarthy’s shockingly slimmed down physique.
Melissa McCarthy’s fans zoom in on date night photos to get a better glimpse of her drastic weight loss. (Photo by Alberto E. Rodriguez/Getty Images)In the first of the four pictures, McCarthy was photographed from the waist up, flashing her clay-smeared fingertips with a smile. In two other photos, she proudly held up the pieces she made, which included a bowl with her name written on it. In other photos, she showed off a huge mug, which she held by the handle with one hand and on the bottom with the other hand.
Falcone joined McCarthy in the last picture, sitting behind her with one hand on top of hers as she molded her clay. The two natural jokesters sat in that pose to reference a scene from Demi Moore and Patrick Swayze’s movie “Ghost.”
McCarthy typed in her caption, “We had the BEST time at Wild Clay LA!!!!!!! Joshua was an amazing teacher. I really found my inner Demi!!”
Many fans reacted to catching the movie reference, but others were more shocked by how slim the “Tammy” star appeared to them. Most of the photos only showed her from the waist up, but even in loose black clothes that covered her body, fans still noticed the drastic change in her weight.

One person said, “Wow, you look so good! I honestly didn’t even recognize you.”
Another fan typed, “Doesn’t even look like you anymore.”
A third commented, “You look great for your age and you lost a lot of weight. Keep on doing what you’re doing whatever your secret is Melissa McCarthy. Let me know what it is so I can try it.”
Other fans seemed to believe that they cracked the code on McCarthy’s weight loss “secret” and pointed to weight loss drugs like Ozempic being the answer.
“Damn you got old quick. Look at your hands! Throw Ozempic away,” said one individual.

(Photo: @melissamccarthy/Instagram)Like many other celebrities have expressed, weight loss has not been a linear journey for “The Kitchen” star. Her size has fluctuated over the years, though one of her earliest notable attempts to lose weight took place in 2003 when a doctor put her on an all liquid diet.
Although she did lose 70 pounds in four months, McCarthy expressed that she felt “starved and crazy half the time” in a People magazine article, vowing to never do that again.
“She found healthier, more active ways to slim down, like Pilates and boxing, told ‘Entertainment Tonight’ in 2011 that the workouts helped her lose 30 pounds.”
Then, in 2023, she told People magazine that she started to learn self-acceptance in her 30s. “I was like ‘I’m OK with who I am,’” she said.
Another thing that helped the “Bridesmaids” actress was changing her mindset, paired with a combination of physical activities helped her drop 50 pounds.
“I truly stopped worrying about it,” she told Life & Style in 2015. “I think there’s something to kinda loosening up and not being so nervous and rigid about it that, bizarrely, has worked.”
She began working with a martial arts instructor to prepare for the fight scenes in her film “Spy” and adopted a high-protein diet.”
McCarthy has not shared what’s helped her keep the weight off in the last several years. As for Ozempic, she’s also been tight-lipped about whether she added the Type 2 diabetes treatment drug to her weight loss journey.
‘All I Can Look at’: Bad Bunny, Zoë Kravitz, and Austin Butler Bring Their Hollywood Looks to the Red Carpet, But Fans Say the Mystery Guest Stole the Spotlight
Zoë Kravitz stepped onto the carpet at the New York City premiere of “Caught Stealing” ready to toast her latest project alongside co-stars musician Bad Bunny and actor Austin Butler. But instead of the spotlight staying on the film or the actress’ signature fashion edge, the trio’s photo op quickly took on a life of its own.
Social media lit up, not over the collective’s daring style or the star power gathered in one frame, but over what looked like their strangely in-sync expressions they shared — a subtle detail that turned into a viral talking point.
Bad Bunny and Zoë Kravitz went viral when fans noticed they were supposedly all making the same facial expression at a movie premiere. (Photos by Cindy Ord/WireImage; @badbunnypr/Instagram)Kravitz stunned in a sleek two-piece ensemble that highlighted her sculpted abs, while Butler commanded attention in a daring black leather suit worn without a shirt underneath. Bad Bunny brought his signature flair in a carefully layered Saint Laurent look that demonstrated his evolving fashion sensibilities. The three stars appeared to be having a wonderful time, laughing and posing together as they celebrated their upcoming film collaboration, according to People.
However, as the evening progressed and footage from the red carpet began circulating online, eagle-eyed fans started noticing something peculiar.
‘She Has Gotten Much Thinner’: Shocking Images of Zoe Kravitz Has Fans Zooming In on Her Legs
A particular clip caught fire when posted on E! News’ Instagram, with viewers doing double takes and zooming in for closer inspection.
“Why are they all making the same face?” one person observed.

The observation wasn’t lost on others, with many people pointing out the similarity in their expressions.
“Because it’s botox,” another user responded.
“They all have the Drake lips,” one follower noted, drawing comparisons to the distinctive facial pout that has become a popular term, mocking the Canadian rapper.

— EM (@EXECUTIVEXMEDIA) August 29, 2024Some comments were more lighthearted speculation from viewers trying to make sense of what they were seeing. Though many complimented the trio’s “Hollywood look,” a few zoomed into notice another person in the camera’s frame.
“I’m sorry, all I can look at is the cat,” said one person, while another asked, “Why is there a cat in the lower left corner?”
Beyond the facial expressions, some viewers also commented on the stars’ overall appearances.
Looking at the slender builds of all three celebrities, one caring fan declared, “I just want to feed them,” accompanied by a sandwich emoji.
For Kravitz, this latest social media attention adds to recent discussions about her public appearances and fashion choices. The actress has been making headlines with her bold style decisions during the promotional tour for “Caught Stealing,” consistently choosing Saint Laurent pieces that establish a cohesive aesthetic vision for her appearances.
At the Paris screening of the film, the “Blink Twice” star wore a designer slip dress that many blasted as a nightgown.

— Red Carpet Fashion Awards (@Fashion_Critic_) August 22, 2025The conversation around the nepo child didn’t stop at her style choices. Online, some took their critiques a step further, turning the spotlight on her appearance and speculating about her health. One of the latest rounds of commentary mirrors concerns that surfaced in July when paparazzi caught Kravitz leaving The Bowery Hotel in New York City.
In those shots, she was dressed casually in an oversized “Black History Month” T-shirt, black athletic shorts, and heels.
While it was a laid-back look, the baggy clothing drew heightened attention, with some observers claiming it exaggerated her already petite frame and fueling speculation about her health.
The film itself, set to hit theaters soon, features Kravitz as the love interest to Butler’s character, a former baseball player turned New York City bartender who becomes entangled with dangerous characters. The ensemble cast, which includes, in addition to Butler and the Reggaeton and Latin Trap artist, Regina King, Matt Smith, and Vincent D’Onofrio, has been receiving positive early reviews from critics.
‘Don’t Like it, Then Don’t Stand Behind Me’: Black Woman Filming Video Vlog Confronted By White Woman Complaining About Being in the Background
Countless people snap photos or shoot videos while in airports, whether they’re excited about the adventures to come or simply documenting their travels.
But when a Black woman filmed herself recently for her YouTube channel in a Thailand airport, she was continually harassed by a white British traveler, who followed her around and reportedly alerted three separate security guards.
Casey_baby2.0 says she was filming a video for YouTube when a woman stepped into the frame. (Photo: TikTok/casey_baby2.0)The video is now on TikTok and is quickly gaining traction. Many are perceiving this as another example of unwarranted everyday racism, even though the British woman never explicitly mentioned the other woman’s race.
@casey_baby2.0 So the Cincinnati brawl wasn’t enough? Me casually getting content for YT and this happens. Blk airport I never thought that this would happen to me so proud of myself for how I handled it myself ##cincinnatibrawl##raciallyprofilled##bkkairport##beingblack##viralvideo ♬ original sound – casey_baby2.0Casey Sharp is a Black single mother of two who has recently moved to Thailand from Florida.
While at Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok, she began filming for her social media channels and spoke directly into her phone.
Background strangers were hardly noticeable in the video that she posted to TikTok, and the pink-clad British woman appeared in the frame for just a moment. Despite this, the woman quickly grew angry after being caught on camera in the background and ordered Casey to delete it on the spot.
“You haven’t got our permission to film us,” she stated after wandering into the shot. She seemed to be traveling with a teenager and a man, who were not even visible in the video until the British woman began following Casey around. At first, Casey brushed off the complaint, hoping the scuffle would blow over. Unfortunately, it just got worse.
“I’m not going to have this discussion with you,” the shocked mother told the hot and bothered Briton. “You can lower your voice… talking to me in front of my children. ’Cause I’m not deleting anything out of my phone that I paid the bill for.”
The woman made a beeline for security and could be heard out of frame, describing Casey’s attire, pointing out her pink backpack, and also saying “disgusting!” She then appeared to follow Casey through the airport. “You don’t like it, then don’t stand behind me. Simple. Stand somewhere else,” Casey told the woman.
Commenters on the video also noticed that the British traveler simply could not walk away.
“OMG not them walking up to be in the camera,” read a sympathetic comment on the video. “[They’re] fully following you. That was too much,” quipped another.
Of course, nearly all airports have security cameras filming every corner of the facility, which many people pointed out. “Wait until she finds out there’s cameras everywhere,” wrote a commenter, who must have been rolling their eyes as they typed.
“Girl, they swear we care about them and don’t,” stated another.
Apparently, the airport security guards didn’t care either. Luckily, in a follow-up video, the Florida native said that all three security guards laughed off the British woman’s complaints, as it’s legal to film in a public place in Thailand, just as it is in the United States and the U.K., as long as you are not harassing or stalking someone. In this case, it seems the tables were turned.
Even if Casey had wanted to put her phone down, she felt compelled to keep filming. “Now I’m really going to film, for my safety,” she said, later adding that “As long as you’re Black, you’re always going to have somebody in your business.”
Louisiana Lawmakers Wanted Courts to Ignore the Voting Rights Act and Approve Congressional Map That Diluted Voting Power of Black Citizens But Federal Judges Refused
A federal appeals court upheld a lower court’s ruling that Louisiana’s legislative maps directly violate the Voting Rights Act and dilute the voting power of Black citizens in the state.
The Fifth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals agreed that the maps unfairly divide communities into state districts with the aim of diluting their voting power and denying them an equal chance to elect preferred candidates.
The decision is part of the Nairne v. Landry case, launched by Black residents who sued the state over redistricting plans that state lawmakers introduced in 2022, which showed that the new congressional lines for Senate and House of Representatives districts did not increase the number of Black majority seats.
The lawsuit charged the state legislature with racial gerrymandering, arguing that lawmakers drew a congressional map that disenfranchises African American voters in a state where a third of the population is Black.
In 2024, U.S. District Judge Shelly Dick of the Middle District of Louisiana ruled in favor of the plaintiffs.
The state appealed Dick’s ruling, urging the court to disregard federal laws prohibiting racial discrimination. State officials contended that Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act is unconstitutional and argued that remedies addressing racial disparities are not needed in Louisiana, where social and political interests have shifted.
Their appeal went to the Fifth Circuit Court, where a three-judge panel rejected their request and affirmed Dick’s decision.
“There is no legal basis for this proposition, and the State offers no evidence that conditions in Louisiana have changed in the year since Milligan was decided,” the court wrote. “In any event, this court, sitting en banc, and every other circuit to consider the issue have upheld the constitutionality of Section 2’s results test. We decline to depart from this settled and uniform precedent.”
The court’s decision also said that Congress approved the Voting Rights Act, “based on overwhelming evidence that ‘sterner and more elaborate measures were needed to address ‘an insidious and pervasive evil,” citing laws in some states that sought to disenfranchise Black voters.
Louisiana legislators must now redraw congressional lines to reflect the population of the state’s Black citizens and give them an equal opportunity to elect candidates of their choice.
“This is a historic affirmation of the rights of Black voters in Louisiana,” said Megan Keenan, a staff attorney with the American Civil Liberties Union’s Voting Rights Project who is representing the Nairne plaintiffs. “Today’s decision sends a powerful message: The Voting Rights Act is still a vital safeguard against racial discrimination in our democracy.”
Other Southern states have faced similar lawsuits in recent years for redrawing congressional maps that continue to marginalize Black communities and diminish their voting power.
One redistricting battle currently in the national spotlight is in Texas, where state Republicans have drawn a new congressional map to flip five Democratic U.S. House seats that they can win for the GOP ahead of the 2026 congressional elections.
The battle escalated after dozens of Democratic lawmakers fled the state of Texas in a last-ditch effort to halt a vote on the new map.
The White House has been pressuring GOP-led states to redraw their maps with the hopes of increasing the Republican Party’s numbers in Congress. Right now, the GOP retains a razor-thin majority in the U.S. House.
The directive has triggered a frenzy in states like California, Ohio, Missouri, New York, Florida, Indiana and Illinois, where legislators are all scrambling to redraw their maps ahead of next year’s elections.
‘I Sent That Wire So Fast’: Teyana Taylor Breaks Her Silence on $70K Payment to Iman Shumpert’s Attorneys and the Explosive Reason Why
Teyana Taylor is choosing peace over pride, and it comes with a hefty price tag she’s more than willing to pay.
The multi-talented singer, actress, and director recently opened up about the $70,000 fine she incurred for violating a gag order after her contentious divorce from former NBA player Iman Shumpert, calling the payment “the best little coin” she’s ever spent in her life.
The financial penalty stems from Taylor’s decision to go live on Instagram in March 2025, where she publicly addressed details about their divorce settlement — a direct violation of a court-imposed gag order from their 2024 divorce judgment.
Teyana Taylor and Iman Shumpert. (Photo by Robin Marchant/Getty Images for Roger Dubuis)Despite the substantial cost, Taylor maintains she has zero regrets about speaking her truth, even if it meant facing contempt of court charges and covering Shumpert’s legal fees within a two-week deadline.
During her recent appearance on “The Breakfast Club,” Taylor addressed the situation with characteristic candor, explaining how she eagerly paid the fine.
“However, if it’s going to give me my peace and we can be done this is for good I sent that wire so fast I sent that wire so fast that was the best little coin I’ve ever spent in my life because I never have to deal with this again and I will never allow a person to,” she declared.
When host Jess Hilarious brought up Taylor’s “$70,000 bill” for “defending herself,” Taylor called it “the best little coin I ever spent.”
Taylor’s frustration reached its breaking point when she claimed to have evidence that Shumpert and his team were orchestrating negative publicity about her. The timing of these allegations particularly stung, as they seemed to coincide with positive developments in her career.
“Every single time something amazing is going on in my life, it’s something about this divorce,” Taylor explained.
She added, “We went to court July 25th, this thing about me paying him $70,000 or his lawyer $70,000 came out a week before my album drop.”
Here is further context surrounding what the fee imposed by a Georgia court on Aug. 5 actually was for.
According to Page Six, Taylor was slapped with a contempt of court ruling after breaching the terms of her 2024 divorce settlement with former NBA player Iman Shumpert by going live on Instagram during the Spring.
During her stream, Taylor addressed the breakup and denied rumors she had taken money from her ex — violating a clause that barred both from publicly discussing their split.
According to Hot 100.9, she also addressed rumors about the assets she received in the divorce, including four homes, a Maybach, a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van, and a tour bus. She clarified that she had purchased these items herself and did not receive them from Shumpert.
The Harlem native further mentioned the child support arrangement, stating that Shumpert was ordered to pay $8,000 per month, which was part of the leaked information.
The fallout has been costly. A judge ordered the “Rose in Harlem” singer to pay $70,000 to cover Shumpert’s legal fees, rejecting her request that he cover her own. Taylor’s claims that Shumpert leaked details of their divorce to the media were also dismissed for lack of evidence.
While Taylor refused to disclose her income, the court cited her film and TV projects as proof she could afford the payment. Shumpert’s separate bid to hold her in contempt over parenting issues was thrown out.
The couple’s relationship timeline tells a story of love that gradually unraveled under pressure. Taylor and Shumpert first met in 2011, began dating in 2013, welcomed daughter Junie in 2015, secretly married in 2016, and had their second daughter, Rue Rose, in 2020.
However, by September 2023, Taylor announced their separation, emphasizing that infidelity wasn’t the cause of their split.
Court documents revealed a marriage strained by professional jealousy and emotional manipulation.
Taylor accused Shumpert of displaying “extreme narcissistic behavior” and being envious of her growing success in entertainment, despite his own lucrative NBA career that included a $40 million contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
According to the Def Jam artist, Shumpert would send “condescending” and “manipulative” text messages in response to her achievements, leading her to “intentionally dim her light” to maintain peace in their marriage.
The drama took an unexpected turn when influencer Kayla Nicole, during an appearance on Angel Reese’s podcast, shared a story about dressing up as her ex’s famous new girlfriend for Halloween after being dumped via text message.
The legal battles intensified when Taylor reportedly sought to have Shumpert jailed for 20 days, accusing him of leaking private divorce details to the media this year.
She claimed these leaks were strategically timed to coincide with her romantic photos with actor Aaron Pierre going viral, suggesting Shumpert was using their divorce drama to promote his own music career.
In her March Instagram Live, Taylor declared, “I have the proof that you’re paying people to post this stuff.”
Taylor defended her approach to the divorce settlement, emphasizing her fairness throughout the process.
“I walked away with what I came in with. Iman walked away with all his cars. I walked away with all my cars. Iman walked away with all his properties. I walked away with all my properties,” she explained, pushing back against narratives that she took advantage of her ex-husband financially.
The Shade Room followers have had mixed reactions to the ongoing drama.

“Trust and believe she made that 70k twice over,” one supporter commented, while another said, “She dumped that man in lake Lanier with that 70k.”
A more sympathetic voice noted, “This is really sad because I loved them as a couple, but I’m so glad that she found peace.”
Some had words of warning for her.
One said, “Teyanna .. babe you’re still chatting love youuu but we don’t want the cost to keep adding up babe,” as another said, “She keep talking she’ll be paying him again. Just say next question lol.”
‘Am I the Only One That Sees It’: Jennifer Lopez’s Casual Bike Photo Backfires After Fans Zoom In on the Seat
Before the summer ends, Jennifer Lopez is back taking up one of her beloved hobbies …biking in the Hamptons! But she couldn’t let the day pass without having a photo shoot of the moment first.
The singer-actress shared a spread of five images looking radiant in “Le Sun,” as she posed in front of her bright teal bike from Blue Jay Bikes. Lopez’s hair fell effortlessly around her face in no particular style, with her blond highlights looking brightened in the daylight. She chose a striped pair of flat shoes to go along with the rest of her all-white outfit, which made her bronzed skin pop against it.
Jennifer Lopez’s biking photos in the Hamptons ruined after fans notice something off. (Photo: @jlo/Instagram.It was a cute but comfortable fashion change for the “If You Had My Love’ singer, who is usually in some sort of glammed-up look for her professional life. According to her Aug. 24 post, Lopez didn’t make the trip to the Hamptons to go biking alone. Her vocal coach Stevie Mackie and her daughter Emme Muñiz — who has been popping up to various events more often — were accompanying her as well.
Lopez got two shots standing behind the bike, with one hand placed on the handle, while the other hand was placed on the actual seat. She posed with a fierce stare into the camera. She also made sure to take photos sitting on the bike. Her all white outfit consisted of denim capri pants and a hoodie with a collared shirt framing her neck. The fit suggested that it may have been slightly chilly in the Long Island, New York, destination spot the day she took the pictures.

But what was probably intended to be a photo reflecting on a fun day with her daughter and friend turned into fans sharing their dislike for the fourth image.
One person wrote, “The 4th pic got me nervous. Am I the only one that sees it,” which received several other replies from people who had similar thoughts.
One of those responders said, “not me zooming in on the windows looking for ghosts.”
Another person wrote, “The way she sitting on the bike ! You silly ….”
Another person typed, “I feel like I’m taking crazy pills! Why isn’t anyone seeing this ridiculous crotch situation lol!!!”
Someone else commented, “Without a doubt, the old lady planned it that way…. she looks like she’s ‘advertising’ that she needs one… LOL.”
This isn’t the first time Lopez has been biking in the Hamptons around the summer to early fall time of year. She was spotted last year in the early days of July biking again. More often than not she wasn’t alone, but she also wasn’t with her then-husband Ben Affleck. Rumors were swirling that the two were having marital issues after just two years of marriage, and it proved to be true as Lopez filed for divorce the very next month.
Instead of Affleck accompanying her, Mackie was by her side during many of her travels that month. There was also a time when her son Max Muñiz biked with them. Surprisingly, Affleck’s daughter Violet Affleck, 19, whom he shares with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner, was biking with her on another day in July.

It’s clear biking is an activity that Lopez enjoys doing, particularly in the summer.
In efforts to promote her Delola cocktail brand, she shared a video of her pulling up to a liquor store to purchase some bottles.
Wearing a white dress with her hair in a ponytail, Lopez took fans in the store with her while she shopped for Delola.
“So many things I love about summer…,” she wrote before listing off, “Sunsets,” “Bike Rides,” “Beach Days,” “Lazy afternoons,” “And a refreshing @Delola Light Margarita on ice.”
‘That Could Have Escalated Differently’: Man Annoyed with Gospel Singer’s Preaching Spazzes Out in Viral Video Until Bystander Intervenes
An angry resident flipped out on a Black street performer who was singing gospel tunes on an Oakland, California, street corner this week.
Pressure P, who describes herself as a “trap Evangalist,” had set up an amplified speaker on Jefferson Street in the Civic Center area of Oakland, a mixed-use zone with apartment complexes next to towering office buildings.
An elderly man confronts another man after he pours water on a woman’s speaker. (Photos: TikTok/Pressure P)Instead of filing a noise complaint through the appropriate channels, a white man exited his building, walked across the street holding a blender full of water, and proceeded to douse the singer’s speaker, destroying her equipment and her Bible.
An elderly Black man bravely came to her defense, and Pressure P captured the tense encounter on film.

Pressure P later identified him as a neighbor. “You’re not supposed to do that. If anything, call the police… don’t destroy our sh*t!”
White Man Hurls Racist Slurs and Spits at Black Man, Seconds Later, Karma Hits Hard in Viral Video
Beyond drenching her speaker and Bible, it was the man’s dismissive tone that set people off in the comments on TikTok, where her video has garnered thousands of views.
“Right, cause I’ve done that and nothing happens, so sure, have fun,” the white man replied sarcastically before stating that if she wanted a replacement, she’d have to send him a receipt. Pressure P noted in a follow-up video that she only encountered the man once, a year before, and he “walked up on me super aggressive… cussing me out.”
But this time, her Black neighbor wouldn’t back down: “That costs money, man, and you’re going to pay for it.”
The situation took an even more bizarre turn when the harasser implied the singer had Tourette’s syndrome, a neurological disorder characterized by vocal tics and involuntary movements. He added, “Do you know what Tourette’s is? No.”
“I have Tourette’s, and I’m going to Tourette’s your ass,” replied the man who came to her defense.
“OG was not playing with him,” cheered one person in the comments. “Finally, someone speaking up for the women,” enthused another. “He is such a king for protecting you. That could have escalated differently,” said a third member of his fan club.
In Oakland, any amplified music or noise on a public sidewalk requires a Sound Amplification Permit from the city; otherwise, it is prohibited and considered a nuisance.
It’s unclear if Pressure P, who goes by Godgirlpeezy on social media, ever obtained one, as the man destroyed her equipment without asking.
In the video, she can be heard threatening to call the police, turning the tables on her harasser, and she later confirmed on TikTok that she reported him for destruction of property and plans to take him to small claims court after he brushed off a demand letter.
In the meantime, Pressure P assured her followers that she’s “hitting the block again this weekend. I’m pulling up, I’m walking up, I’m standing up.”
‘She is Doubling Down on Exactly Who She Is’: Critics Say Jordon Hudson’s Latest Legal Move Proves She’s Unraveling Over Bill Belichick Backlash
Bill Belichick‘s 24-year-old girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, is taking trolling to a whole other level amid intense scrutiny of their 49-year age gap relationship.
After keeping somewhat of a low profile due to the mass criticism of her impact on the former NFL coach and his new gig as University of North Carolina football coach, Hudson has now filed to trademark a commonly used term that critics use to describe her: “Gold digger.”
Jordon Hudson files trademark for commonly used word ahead of Bill Belichick’s college coaching debut. (Photos: Jordon_isabella/Instagram.)According to People, she had a pending application after filing to use the name to sell jewelry and key chains. The trademark was filed under the Belichick-owned company TCE Rights Management LLC, which Hudson runs.
But fans are still not happy about the couple or their decisions over the past two years.
“She should just trademark TRASH because that fits her better,” said one person, while another said, “She isn’t ‘poking fun’ [at the name] she is doubling down on exactly who she is and exactly who he is.”
A third person suggested she used other names such as “Nasty, Daddy Issues, Ick, Hoochie, Thot… the list goes on but no matter how you spell it, it’s gross.”
A fourth said, “This is not the flex you think it is, Jordan. lol.”
It’s true that commonly used words and phrases can be trademarked. But they must have a uniqueness specifically tailored to the individual or organization. According to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, strong trademarks must “quickly and clearly [identify] you as the source of your goods or services. The stronger your trademark is, the more easily you can prevent others from using it without your permission.”
But this is not her first rodeo with USPTO. CBS reports that Hudson, who is also CEO of Trouble Cub Enterprises, filed 14 separate trademarks on April 3 for other commonly used words by Belichick.
Among those she seeks ownership of include “No Days Off,” “Do Your Job,” “Ignore the Noise,” “Dynasty and “Chapel Bill,” with “(Bill’s Version)” added on the end of each. These are all phrases Belichick used during his 24-year season coaching stint in New England to encourage and motivate players, as part of the “Patriot Way.”
Her latest move comes weeks after a podcaster suggested that the former Miss Maine contestant may be unraveling at the seams.
Charlotte Wilder, the co-host of “The Sports Gossip Show,” claims she received a string of unfortunate and recent phone conversations, which began when Hudson unexpectedly called her one evening while at dinner with her husband.
Wilder claims Hudson confirmed her identity and then announced herself as “the president of your universe.”
“She said, ‘You guys have gotten as close to the truth as anyone, you are still far away from it.’ She loved that we had said she is Bill Belichick’s Tree Paine (Taylor Swift’s publicist) because (Hudson noted) I am.”
Wilder added that Hudson smugly remarked, “Everybody loved Bill’s media presence until they found out I was behind it.”
The hosts went on to provide context on how their interest in Hudson had sparked a somewhat “toxic relationship” in negotiating an appearance on their podcast.
“There were three main questions she had, and she was talking in circles, using a lot of legalese. Words, sort of like her Instagram captions, word salady, not exactly the correct word for what she is trying to say,” Hill added.
Hudson allegedly losing her cool about media prying into her relationship comes at a bad time as Belichick prepares for his UNC debut when the Tar Heels face off against TCU on Monday, Sept. 1.
‘OMG She Lost So Much Weight’: Lizzo Shows Off Transformation and Fans Are Left in Shock
A resurfaced video of Lizzo has ignited widespread conversation about her ongoing wellness transformation.
The “Truth Hurts” singer has been openly documenting her wellness evolution, and her latest appearances have sparked conversations about body image, self-love, and personal growth in the public eye.
The 36-year-old Detroit native captivated audiences during a Twitch livestream in late February 2025, where she offered viewers an impromptu outfit showcase that showed fans exactly how much her body has changed.
A resurfaced video shows Lizzo’s jeans falling off her transformed figure, sparking mixed reactions online. (Photo: @lizzobeating/Instagram)When a viewer complimented Lizzo’s appearance, the singer graciously stood up from her chair to display her complete look, featuring a black top paired with light-colored jeans and a silver cross pendant necklace.
What caught everyone’s attention, however, was how she had to adjust her waistband multiple times, demonstrating that her clothing was noticeably loose around her midsection.
During the stream, she proudly mentioned wearing her own shapewear brand, Yitty, before turning to show her silhouette from different angles.
The moment felt authentic and celebratory as she seductively wound her body for the camera, moving her hips confidently while her jeans continued to shift around her transformed frame.
Hey Lizzo, what happened to body positivity? Why did you lose all the weight? Did you get it in your head that it was unhealthy for you and you decided to do the right thing good for you! Finally, you got rid of that extra weight you look great! Now shut up and sing!
— Virginia (@newyorkgirl1225) August 26, 2025This wasn’t an isolated incident during the broadcast either, as she stood up again later when fans inquired about her denim brand, once more highlighting how the pants no longer fit snugly around her waist, according to People.
The livestream footage has gained renewed traction when the Internet Hall of Fame shared clips on its X page, generating a flood of reactions from users across the spectrum.
“Workout goals: Next level achieved!” one enthusiastic supporter tweeted, while another person admitted, “I may not like Lizzo but honestly, good job.”
The responses weren’t universally positive, as some critics questioned her previous advocacy work.
“Lizzo was pushing body positivity and was rooting for the ‘big girls’ then lost all the weight,” wrote one disapproving commenter.
Don't have to, but gotta give her respect for doing better for herself.
— A_bell_does_drawing (@Antdoesdrawing) August 26, 2025The criticism intensified with another user stating, “Hey Lizzo, what happened to body positivity? Why did you lose all the weight? Did you get it in your head that it was unhealthy for you and you decided to do the right thing good for you! Now shut up and sing.”
Two others said, “Omg she lost so much weight but why that’s makes you Lizzo, being a big girl,” and “OMG…. That gurl ATE Lizzo.”
Yet supporters pushed back against the negativity, with one defender writing, “Haters gonna hate anyway, but I am happy for her, it isn’t easy.”
(L-R) Lizzo (2022) Lizzo in 2024, Lizzo (2025) (Photos: @lizzobeeating/Instagram)The Grammy winner’s Twitch video followed a significant milestone announcement Lizzo made in January when she revealed reaching her “weight release goal” through an Instagram post.
The artist has since lost at least 60 pounds, dropping from 300 pounds to 240 pounds, emphasizing her methodical approach to wellness that began around January 2024.
View this post on InstagramA post shared by Lizzo (@lizzobeeating)
Her journey included integrating daily fitness routines, particularly Pilates, which she told The New York Times she never regretted incorporating into her lifestyle.
Her commitment to physical wellness became part of a broader conversation about taking time to care for her body, as she explained to the publication that she approached weight management slowly and deliberately. Over a few months, the singer has pushed back against critics who suggest her transformation contradicts her previous body-positivity messaging, firmly stating that her body remains nobody’s business but her own.
Lizzo’s political voice has remained as prominent as her physical transformation, particularly evident during her April “Saturday Night Live” appearance, where she wore clothing featuring “TARIFFIED” messaging.
This sartorial choice directly referenced President Donald Trump’s economic policies, including significant tariff increases on Chinese goods. Her outfit selection demonstrated her continued willingness to use fashion as political commentary, building on her previous support for Kamala Harris during the 2024 election cycle.
The artist’s relationship with body image has been complicated throughout her career, including moments of vulnerability she’s shared publicly.
In the past, she’s discussed experiencing negative thoughts about herself despite her public confidence, acknowledging that such feelings are normal and universal experiences.
She once said, “Normally, I would have some positive thing to say to get me out of this, but I don’t, and that’s OK too.”
“I think these are normal [thoughts and feelings] and they happen to everybody, they happen to the best of us,” she added.
Eventually, these thoughts were mastered with her working to get in shape.
Through her transformation journey, Lizzo continues challenging societal expectations while maintaining her commitment to authenticity.
Whether it’s adjusting oversized jeans mid-livestream or clapping back at critics in real time, she continues to show that personal growth isn’t always pretty, polished, or packaged the way audiences expect. The star’s journey makes it clear that when people evolve, they sometimes change their style and their choices, not because they’re trying to please anyone else, but because they’re doing what’s best for them.

‘Smart People Don’t Say This’: Donald Trump Brags He Has ‘Common Sense,’ Then Proves the Opposite In the Most Embarrassing Way
President Donald Trump is publicly denying he’s a dictator, casting himself instead as “a smart person” with “common sense” while defending his federal takeover of the Washington D.C. police department. But his follow-up comments only raised more eyebrows, fueling fresh questions about what he really meant.
Trump, speaking from the Oval Office, told reporters, “A lot of people are saying, ‘Maybe we’d like a dictator.’”
What Trump really seems to be upset about is that he isn’t getting the praise he thinks he deserves for his plans and efforts at reducing crime.

(Photo by Chip Somodevilla/Getty Images)He’s been threatening to send federal troops into Baltimore and Chicago after sending the National Guard into Los Angeles earlier this summer to help quell protests over immigration arrests and deportations without state officials’ approval.
The threats have sparked a war of words with California Gov. Gavin Newsom, Maryland Gov. Wes Moore and Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker.
“So, I’m thinking about, you know, when I have some slob like Pritzker criticizing us before we even go there, I made the statement that next should be Chicago because as you all know Chicago’s a killing field right now and they don’t acknowledge it. And they say we don’t need him, freedom, freedom, he’s a dictator. He’s a dictator,” Trump lamented to reporters.
Smart people don’t say they’re smart.
People with common sense don't say they have common sense.
Honest people don’t say they’re honest.
Rich people don’t say they’re rich.
Successful people don’t say they’re successful.
They don’t have to.
He waxed on about the MAGA world, apparently, wanting a despot in charge, denying that he also wants that.
“A lot of people are saying maybe we’d like a dictator. I don’t like a dictator. I’m not a dictator. I’m a man with great common sense and I’m a smart person and when I see, uh, what’s happening to our cities and then you send in the troops instead of being praised, they say you’re trying to take over the Republic, uh, these people are sick,” Trump lashed out, repeating a falsehood he used repeatedly in recent weeks that cities in states run by Democrats are “put-of-control.”
However, the following day, Trump spoke in a manner reminiscent of a dictator, contradicting his claim to “common sense.”
“I have the right to do anything I want to do. I’m the president of the United States,” he said when talking recently about how dangerous Chicago is.

— MeidasTouch (@MeidasTouch) August 26, 2025And as far back as Dec. 5, 2023, he was asked by Fox News personality Sean Hannity in front of an Iowa audience, “Under no circumstances, you are promising America tonight, you would never abuse power as retribution against anybody?”
The once and future president responded, “Except for day one. I want to close the border and I want to drill, drill, drill.”
His comments, “people say maybe we’d like a dictator,” sparked an uproar on social media.
One user had a full lesson from Trump on proclaiming his brilliance,
Smart people don’t say they’re smart.
People with common sense don’t say they have common sense.
Honest people don’t say they’re honest.
Rich people don’t say they’re rich.
Successful people don’t say they’re successful.
They don’t have to.
“If you’re ok with this then you absolutely do not believe in the constitution,” Matt DeLancey commented.
“Literally no one is saying, ‘maybe we’d like a dictator.’ Keep fucking around America. This dickhead is taking Project 2025 forward one step and day at a time. Keep sleeping on it… there’s plenty of time to wake up later,” Eye of Bass posted on X.
Trump sent federal troops into Washington in early August under the guise of reducing crime, but statistics from his own Justice Department show crime has been dropping in the nation’s capital for the past several years.
The original post by The Tennessee Holler showed only 7 seconds of Trump’s comments on a dictatorship, “And they say we don’t need him, freedom, freedom, he’s a dictator. He’s a dictator. A lot of people are saying maybe we’d like a dictator.”
That sparked as much outrage in the MAGA sphere as the comment about “maybe we’d like a dictator.”
“Show the whole clip. Stop trying to scare people,” this X user posted.
And another pointed out, “What was the very next sentence that he said? Why cut off the video so quickly after the comment?”
As far as his admission, the next day, one user said, “That sentence alone should set off alarm bells — Trump appears to elevate himself above both the law and the Constitution.”
“No, he doesn’t! He’s a big fat idiot and we need him GONE,” another user said.
“Is this real or AI-generated?” one user inquired.
‘Hope She Gets Nothing’: Bruce Willis’ Wife Sparks Outrage After Shocking Update on His Care Contradicts What She Said Before
Bruce Willis has been living a new normal since being diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia and aphasia, a language disorder, in 2022.
The actor no longer speaks and is seldom seen in public with caregivers. Updates often come from his ex-wife Demi Moore and their daughters, Rumer, 37, Scout, 34, and Tallulah, 31, in the form of heartfelt Instagram posts.
Now, in an in-depth interview with Diane Sawyer, Emma Hemming Willis, his current wife, has revealed shocking details about navigating his health challenges and the tough decision she has made as his caregiver.
Bruce Willis’ wife, Emma Hemming Willis, reveals the actor no longer lives in their home with small daughters, Mabel and Evelyn, after being diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia and aphasia. (Photo: Emmahemmingwillis/Instagram.Bruce, 70, and Emma, 47, married in 2009. The couple shares daughters Mabel, 13, and Evelyn, 11.
During the “Emma & Bruce Willis: The Unexpected Journey” taping, the author recalled first noticing subtle changes in his behavior. She said the “Die Hard” star “felt a little removed, a little cold, not like Bruce, who is very warm and affectionate.”
Before his diagnosis, she contemplated, “‘How can I remain in a marriage that doesn’t feel like what we had?’” But after learning of his condition, she did an overhaul of their lives, which included halting playdates and sleepovers at their home. “I isolated our whole family, and that was by design… That was a hard time,” she said.
— William Wells (@WilliamWel82408) August 27, 2025Among “one of the hardest decisions” she made was moving Bruce into a one-story home, where he receives 24/7 care.
Emma shared that she always joins him for breakfast and dinner. Her admission, though, was met with mixed reactions from those who believe the living arrangement is “selfish and kinda heartless.”
“She could easily section off a part of the house just for Bruce, have it sound-proofed and also adapt it to his medical needs. He shouldn’t be isolated from his children,” argued one person in the comments section of People magazine’s article about Emma’s revelations. Others claimed Bruce is being “exploited.”
“Why can’t he just be left alone. Why all the interviews. She has enough money,” a naysayer quipped. Another said, “So he’s living away from his daughters and wife? What cruel wife would do this to him?”

— ExtraTV (@extratv) August 26, 2025A fourth commenter simply remarked, “Disgusting cling to relevance for his wife. I hope she gets nothing at all in the will.
Emma, however, has become recognized as an FTD activist. Her forthcoming book, “The Unexpected Journey,” delves into her being a caregiver navigating Bruce’s dementia. It hits shelves on Sept. 9.
‘Wow’: Tamron Hall Stuns with Revelation That Her Appearance Cost Her Job on the ‘Today Show’
Award-winning journalist and talk show host Tamron Hall is finally opening up about the controversial circumstances surrounding her exit from NBC’s morning show “Today.”
She was replaced by Megyn Kelly in the co-anchoring role she held from 2014 to 2017. Her time on “Today” made history, as she became the first African-American woman to co-host the show.
Hall was recently a guest on a live taping of Samantha Chatman’s new podcast, “I Made It, Mama,” where she claimed she was removed from her anchor position because she didn’t fit “the look” the network wanted.
Tamron Hall speaks out about her exit from and being replaced by Megyn Kelly. (Photo by Leon Bennett/WireImage)“I was actually in Chicago, and I turned on the TV and they revealed they were hiring someone else,” said Hall, 54.
She went on to explain that after learning the news of her replacement, she immediately flew to the studio to “negotiate” her position with NBC executives.
“I said, ‘I have the highest ratings on MSNBC. “The Today Show,” third hour, ratings are up. We’re No. 1 in the time slot. I did this. I hosted this. I hosted that.'”
Regardless of the numbers and accolades, Hall revealed that her attempt to save her position was unsuccessful — as the network had already made its decision.
“I watched this man’s eyes glaze over. He wasn’t listening to me. And he kept making excuses,” she said.
Hall described a moment of realization, understanding that those in charge were “moving the goal post” and that she was “not going to kick again.”
“I left because I knew no matter what I said — the ratings, the accolades, the awards, the Emmys — it didn’t matter. They had determined they wanted a different look for that spot, and I wasn’t that look,” she revealed.
Speaking with conviction, Hall said realizing it was OK not to “sell her soul” opened the path for her to walk away and build success on her own terms.
The mom of one was replaced by attorney and political commentator Megyn Kelly, who was coming from a 13-year stint with Fox News. After hearing Hall’s remarks, fans couldn’t help but think the “look” the network wanted to go with was about more than just appearances.
“They wanted to give her spot to the Becky. But God has blessed her with her own show,” said one YouTube viewer.
Another viewer called out how this is a common practice with networks. “WOW!! I remember when this happened. I’m glad that Tamron stood up for herself. And that she’s still current and doing even better than before.”
“The person they replaced her with still didn’t work out. She was gone that quick. Tamarind had the last laugh,” declared this fan, mentioning Kelly only holding the co-hosting spot for 13 months.
During the same interview, Hall reflected on other moments in her career when her “look” was considered a barrier. She spoke about the difficult transition from her anchor role at WFLD in Chicago to joining MSNBC in 2007, where her short, pixie haircut drew criticism.
“I go on the national stage, and I read an article that says I was lazy because I had short hair,” she recalled with disbelief.
Hall admitted the criticism led her to grow out her hair in an attempt to be more palatable for viewers. But over time, she came to see that her personal evolution was about far more than appearance.
“If you allow people, they will make you not even recognize yourself. And I allowed a person that I did not even know to make me not recognize myself,” she said.
After acknowledging she was the “fool” for buying into the negativity, Hall then encouraged the audience to surround themselves with people who “love them as they are.”
Despite the obstacles, she has continued to thrive in television.
In 2019, she launched her self-titled talk show, “Tamron Hall,” on ABC, and has since built a program that reflects the diversity and voices that were often missing in her previous work with larger networks.
Since its debut, “Tamron Hall” has earned multiple prestigious accolades, including two Daytime Emmy Awards, a Gracie Award, and several NAACP Image Award nominations. In February 2025, the show — on which Hall also serves as executive producer — was renewed for its seventh season, thanks to its consistently high ratings.

Deadline reported on the renewal, noting that at the time, “Tamron Hall” was “among the top three most viewed syndicated talk shows on linear television among total viewers.” The outlet also shared a message from Hall, who credited her success to the unwavering support of her loyal audience, fondly known as the “Tam Fam.”
“It’s no secret I find inspiration in numbers. For many, the number seven represents a completion. For my team and I, season seven represents the continued growth of the show built by the Tam Fam… I am so excited to nurture and grow this special show with you.”

‘This Is Fake!’: Black Chef Who Built $5M Food Empire Sues Wells Fargo After Manager Refused to Cash His $20K IRS Check, Yelled at Him In Front of Customers, and Ordered Him Out
A Black celebrity chef is suing Wells Fargo Bank, alleging that employees at its metro Las Vegas branch falsely accused him of trying to cash a fraudulent check and then brusquely ordered him to leave the bank.
Shawn Davis — also known as “Chef Big Shake” since his fame as a food business entrepreneur took off after a 2011 appearance on the reality TV show “Shark Tank” — was in Las Vegas visiting family on July 11 and made an appointment to set up a business bank account so he could cash a $20,403 U.S. Treasury check from the IRS made out to his business.

(Photo: Chef Shawn Davis Instagram)After meeting with a Wells Fargo business advisor, David Parra, at the Henderson, Nevada branch for 30 minutes, and sharing with him a variety of business documents, Parra stepped away from his desk and went to a private area of the bank for about 15 minutes, according to the lawsuit filed in Clark County District Court on Aug. 20 and obtained by Atlanta Black Star.
When he returned, Parra said, “We can’t take this check,” told Davis it was “fake” and accused him of committing the crimes of fraud and forgery, Davis told Atlanta Black Star.
Parra didn’t ask Davis for any supporting information to confirm the U.S. Treasury check’s legitimacy, the complaint says, but spoke to him in a way that “conveyed the assumption that [Davis] could not rightfully have received such a check due to [his] African American race.”
Davis demanded to speak to the branch manager, Georgia Bell, who appeared and, he says, also talked to him dismissively, telling him she had confirmed the check was fraudulent through “a special back line” to the IRS at the bank.
As Davis insisted that they were wrong and asked to speak to someone at the IRS, Bell and Parra repeatedly interrupted him, raised their voices, and spoke over him, he claims.
“I can’t help you,” Bell allegedly said, loudly, in front of other customers and employees. “This is a fake check, and it’s forged, and I need you to leave the bank.”
“I said, ‘Ma’am, I hope you’re not doing what I think you’re doing,” Davis says. “I said, ‘I have given you an opportunity to clear this up. Don’t do this. You’re being racist towards me. You’re discriminating against me because of what I look like.’”
“’No, I would never do that,’ she said. ‘I’ll never do that,'” Davis recounted. “I said, ‘Well, you’re doing it right now. Can you not give an explanation?’ … I got ready to say, ‘Call the cops,’ but then I told myself, ‘You know that if the cops come in here, they’re going to take me to jail because she said I committed fraud. That’s not going to solve anything.’ So, I left.”
Davis says he drove his car down the block, parked, and then “became super-duper emotional, trying to understand what had just happened to me,” breaking down in tears.
A serial entrepreneur, Davis, 55, has run a series of restaurants and food businesses since he was a teen chef in Long Island, New York. Though the investors on “Shark Tank” didn’t bite on his shrimp burger business, others did, and he sold his food products in thousands of stores. He also opened a chain of Nashville hot chicken restaurants, bringing in $5 million in annual revenues at one point.
Davis has showed off his culinary skills in guest appearances on TV shows including Rachael Ray, Man vs. Food on the Travel Channel, CNN, and The Today Show, and has enjoyed being a minor celebrity chef. So it was jarring to be “treated like a criminal and ordered to leave” the bank, he said.
When he returned to his hometown of Tampa a week later, Davis, a longtime Wells Fargo customer, went to a bank branch there and opened a business account, depositing the U.S. Treasury check with no issue, he says.
Bank employees assured him the check was valid and told him that Wells Fargo has no direct line to the IRS. They also told him that in reviewing their system, the Nevada branch had not created a business account for him beyond entering his first and last name.
The Nevada Wells Fargo employees had taken the initiative to file and investigate a complaint on his behalf, without his knowledge, the lawsuit says. He learned on July 24 via email from the bank’s complaints management office that the matter was closed and they had determined that no wrongdoing had occurred at the Henderson branch by any employee.
“And that’s when I started getting angry, more than upset, that I was taken advantage of, that I needed to pursue legal action,” he said. “I feel assaulted mentally. I feel less than a person. … I feel like sh–, to be honest with you, that somebody would take it upon themselves to be the judge and the jury, because it felt like it that day, to not go through normal protocol, but to take it upon themselves to accuse me of a crime, with no basis for it, and to lie to my face while they did it.”
Davis has been undergoing therapy since the “hostile and discriminatory encounter” in the bank, the lawsuit says. The traumatic experience underscores “his anguish over the reality that his children and grandson may one day be subjected to the same degrading assumptions and treatment.”
“My grandson is two and a half years old,” Davis said. “I could not live with myself if I didn’t do anything before I left this earth to protect him in any kind of way, at least for people to understand what’s out there that this type of thing still exists. It needs to be dealt with. You know, you’re harming people. I have a reputation. I’ve done everything I thought I can do in life to take the right direction and the right steps, to make the right moves, to become successful at what I was doing as an entrepreneur, and then to be halted, from someone who doesn’t know me and just looked at me and made a choice — it’s outrageous.”
The lawsuit accuses Wells Fargo, Parra, and other unnamed employees at the bank of racial discrimination by depriving him of equal enjoyment of services, facilities and privileges in a place of public accommodation, defamation, negligence and intentional infliction of emotional distress, in violation of Nevada law.
He seeks a jury trial to determine general, special, punitive and exemplary damages of at least $50,000 to compensate him for violating his rights and for emotional distress, humiliation and reputational harm.
A corporate spokesperson for Wells Fargo National Association, the nation’s fourth-largest bank, declined to comment on the lawsuit. The bank and the other defendants in the case have 20 days to file a response to the complaint after they are served.
‘Can’t Believe People are Condoning This’: Florida Teacher Under Fire After Video Shows Him Body Slamming Teen Girl During Musical Chairs, Leaving Her with Broken Ribs and Concussion
A viral video showed how a friendly game of musical chairs between students and teachers at a Florida high school went awry when a teacher body slammed a student just to win the game.
The game took place at a pep rally at Westside High School in Jacksonville, Florida, on Aug. 22.
A clip posted to TikTok shows the musical chairs game winding down to the last two players — a male teacher and 16-year-old student, Nyla Millikin.
A Florida teacher was caught on video slamming a student. (Photo: YouTube Screenshot/News4Jax)The two are seen circling the chair, and as soon as the music stops, Millikin grabs the seat and plants herself in it.
Unwilling to give Millikin the victory, the teacher grabs her out of the chair and tackles her to the floor. Then, runs back to the seat to sit down to claim the win for himself before running through the gymnasium to celebrate.
Two staff members were seen helping Millikin off the floor afterward.
“He was a little too close to me from the beginning, from behind. So when the music stopped, you know how somebody pulls the chair and runs? I did that, sat down, then he ran after me, picked me up, and then slammed me,” Millikin told WJXT.

♬ original sound – Jojo2fineThe video drew mixed reactions from viewers. Some people thought that even though the teacher was determined to win the game, he didn’t intend to harm the teen.
“It was his competitive spirit, it got the best of him,” one person wrote on Instagram.
“Nah come on he did not mean to hurt her smh but they finna drag it,” someone else commented.
Others argued that he crossed the line and condemned his behavior entirely.
“I can’t believe people are condoning this and deducing his behavior to playful. Are y’all alright?” one person argued.
“Everyone is saying he’s a good guy, or he didn’t mean to. How you unintentionally pick a person up & slam them to the ground. OVER A GAMEEEEE ! He shouldn’t never even touched her to begin with,” one TikTok viewer wrote.
Millikin said that she suffered a concussion and bruised ribs after the game.
“I think I have it all in a blur. I don’t remember, but I do remember, like, why am I on the ground? And I was thinking like, I’m on the ground, like I shouldn’t be on the ground this hard,” Millikin said.
Millikin’s mother said the teacher went too far and recalled that her daughter came to her crying at the end of the school day after what happened.
“I want justice to be done, because ain’t no teacher should be that close to a student they didn’t know,” Joanna Millikin said. “Nobody should even have to come or even have to deal with their kid going to the emergency room just for a teacher tackling their student over on the ground over musical chairs.”
Following a constructive conversation with the school principal about the teacher’s actions, Millikin’s mother reported that the school immediately enforced measures to address the incident.
The school district released a statement confirming that the teacher “has been reassigned to duties without student contact while the district’s Office of Professional Standards investigates.”
The teacher’s identity is currently unknown. At present, he’s not facing charges.
There’s another video reportedly circulating that shows the teacher pushing another student earlier in the game before he faced off with Millikin.
